99 percent of these reviews are fanboy’s- I mean a manual on a sports car is so rare- who wouldn’t be interested in the review.

It took guts for ThrottleHouse to complain about the lag- but everyone loves to break apart amazing engineering just to have their moment in the sun.

Bottom line- amazing car. Nothing anyone can say will take away the brilliance it brings. Even if it’s not perfect. Nothing really is…

I wouldn't go quite that far. Throttle house has done lots of great reviews over the years. I can't get onboard with some of their subjective takes in this review (specifically calling the og m2 'one of the most beautiful cars on the road ').

But I don't think it's fair to completely dismiss it. The lag is weird though, it seems like a one-off experience for them in the sea of others reviewers. I wonder if we will ever figure out what happened with it...

The "Drive" - originally has the same thoughts as TH.

Boring videos in general - felt like those reviewers were paid to be there on order and wrote a script. So some of the reviews are looking like paid promotions.

Yeah maybe I'm being harsh. Their video title alone was just a turn off that screamed of bias.

The lag is weird and can be dismissed as operators error, IMO, based on the other reviews.

Heavier than F87 but consequently more planted - for some this is a win and for other this takes some of the fun out of the equation

Still great to have a new BMW I6 RWD coupe when most cars have lost their souls. Would love to see one of these in the flesh at my dealer next week.

Curious what reviews are talking you out of the manual? The only negative I've seen regarding the manual are from throttle house, their lag comments don't really seem to line up with anyone elses.

Just curious if you've seen something outside of their perspective.

So far no other reviews have expressed any issue like you’ve expressed so far with the 6 speed. There’s just no way 20HP less with the same torque should perform that much worse.

Also, did you guys or any other reviewer put these cars on a scale? I’m guessing not since everyone is still quoting BMW press numbers but was curious since many of their cars weigh a little less than they advertise.

And no 0-60 times? What gives???

I love TH as a car channel but I expected something like this since their m240i review became "hey Thomas bought a n55 m2 review". They never gave it a fair shot.

Now I don't know what happened in their 6mt because most other reviewers said it was just another modern bmw manual. And we all know they are nowhere close to say a Honda manual.

To each their own, but Doug Demuro's videos are some of the most important reviews regarding all the little details that no one else ever shows, if I'm buying a car I'm always watching his videos. Plus they are endlessly entertaining to me, even if I have no connection to the car.

Everyone else focuses on the driving segments half the video, if your watching his for that part primarily then you're doing it wrong

It's not just an anomaly, it was a pretty bad video in general - particularly the editing in the beginning. Normally their reviews are funny/witty, and pretty entertaining. All they did was gripe about the new cars weight and that it had too much grip. And then they called a car that does 60mph in 4sec slow.

How stupid does that sound?
