West Coast and Texas folks have been fairing the best, luckily dogs. Some folks on the G20 forum were in virtual mutiny over ships moving backwards, forgetting to drop off cars, paddling too slow, you name it, they were in full revolt over there. I gotta say I’m still feeling the high from getting out QC. I’m prepared to wait a month as I have a good guess what ship I’ll be on. If it happens sooner, I’ll buy some rounds in Greer, SC to celebrate.

You should have you car by this time next week I imagine. A short drive to New Orleans for Jazz Fest should help you break it in nicely. When I lived in Austin I loved that drive, especially on I-10 over Lake Pontchartrain where there is no place for cops to hide, I buried the needle on my ‘01 540 on that stretch, fastest car I had ever driven, it hit the limiter at 155 pulling hard and still had a lot of room in 6th gear. What an fantastic car that was, great memories. BTW, I’ll be at Jazz Fest if you come down, I’ll help you break it in.

That stretch of road is amazing. But the last time I drove it, there was some major accident which kept my average speed significantly below 15.5mph! |

make it onto that ship tomorrow. The Torino which ferried AndyinHou to Galveston is almost to Altimira where it will pick up some more cars before stopping in Brunswick enroute to northern VDCs. My car has been in “Production Begins” for about a week now. Really hoping its built by 5/5 like the CA/Genius both stated and gets on a boat quickly. I’d be super hyped if I can actually take delivery before the end of May.

I ordered a different German-built car last year and it spent over 3 months "In Production" and no one was ever able to get info on what caused the delay. When it was ready to get onto a boat, it appeared to cut the line and get on before others that were waiting at the port for weeks but had no production delays. So that was good. Now, I get Carfax emails telling me I am overdue for an oil change on the car that was built 1 year ago but only delivered 6 months ago.

You’ve got bad luck with the “Geniuses”, that doesn’t make sense unless the port at Galveston got hit by a hurricane and you’re being rerouted to Brunswick. Check your Sales order or VIR and see what port it says on it. Upper right hand corner. 6 letters ending in POA.

The GRAND PIONEER is sitting at Anchor off the Port of Veracruz and has an updated arrival to Brunswick on 5/10. I’m hoping it’s waiting on more cars to reach the port to have a full load.
TORINO is in the Port of Altamira with an updated ETA of 5/6 into Brunswick. GLOVIS SYMPHONY just departed Altamira enroute to Brunswick via Tampa on arriving 5/12. |
