Non-resonated with the stock setup sounds excellent. It gets you a noticeable sound increase without it being too loud.

100% agree! It was actually louder the I expected. Gave me a massive grin on the first cold start.

Ya resonated keeps it on the tamer side. Really only for those trying to keep it oem+ and shave some weight.

It pairs well with high flow downpipes or axle back

Ah good point should have clarified, if oem DP and AB, resonated is a bit tame.

Alright, after 4 days with my AA single midpipe, I’m going to say there’s actually a noticeable change to the quality of power delivery in the car that I’m thrilled with and was not expecting. In addition to the heavily improved sound, the engine just feels like it has have better throttle response and a smoother power curve. The turbos also sound a lot happier. I thought at first that I was hallucinating or it was a placebo effect, but it’s clear to me now after driving a few hundred miles. Now I just need my intake installed for the full experience. Still perplexed that M Cars don’t come like this from the factory, because it’s a massive improvement in engagement and experience.

Nice! The power increase, is it on low or high RPM?

I can’t definitely say there’s been an increase to power, but it definitely drives better throughout the entire power band. Being at high elevation (5000ft+) could have something to do with it, so I’d be curious what any ocean breathers might experience.

I'll echo pretty much the same results with the Valvetronic midpipe. The difference is not drastic or groundbreaking, but it's there.

Installed Advanced Autowerke equal length midpipe today with oem down pipe and oem axleback. Still quiet at startup with valves closed. Decel is more pronounced. Higher rpms she sings. Will give it some time to see if it needs the high flow dp too.

This may be placebo but it feels more responsive and less spool time as well. But reduced back pressure would make sense.

Will work on getting vids since was not able to get one on the dyno due to break in service postponed

Some crappy in car rev vids just to hear the difference with the mid valves closed vs open. Will get some real vids Friday.

Revs valves closed. Still basically oem sounding.
https://youtube.com/shorts/fiAZ7-7hl...w0YmTFZh2GXNnl

Revs valves open a bit more aggressive.

Ya the variability is a plus. Going stealth at a light if needed (still sounds like a Tesla with valves closed lol). To DP or not to DP, that is the question.

1. How easy is install?
2. Just making sure, the OEM valves are in the axel-back and not mid, right?
3. Do you recommend any other mids that are not singles?

Thanks! Happy Holidays!
