totally agree, it's not supposed to be a cleaner
however I was referring to videos such as these https://www.youtube.com/results?sear...lean+tire+foam where they claim it cleans and protects the engine

I have washed engine bays hundreds of times. Just use Common sense. Light rinse with pressure washer.
Leaf blew dry.
