This is a thing for the past couple years where the early stages don't accurately depict the selected options.

Just talked with my CA - he told me if he had $5 for every customer that called about wrong colored calipers in their MyBMW Garage, he could retire, lol.

Apparently this is an issue across many models. And it's intermittent, with no identifiable pattern(s). He verified I'm absolutely getting red calipers.

You're saying the new cf interior trim does/will not look like depicted? I thought there was already discussion about the updated cf trim being different?

You know a color that looks nice but is not getting much attention is Vegas Red. It looks good on the configurator...as does Voodoo Blue.

Vegas is a good red, but just seems like one of those colors that works better on an SUV or the sedans. Looking at pictures of it on the i5, it's a lot darker than the configurator.

Also with the limited interior options you have to coordinate with blue stitching or whatever red the "red highlight" is.

The 2024 was listed as 4.2 0-60 - and that was for the manual version

The 2025 is listed as 4.1 0-60 - and is also for the manual version

Auto will be quicker, maybe 3.6-3.8?

two questions for you. When did you place your order? I placed mine weeks ago (also Individual color) and in mygarage, it went from step two, back to step one and only says order received. Would be helpful to know when you placed your order so I can gauge the timeline on going to "scheduled for production status for Individual cars.

Second, how did you add MPHAS and CF inlets? I wasn't able to do that.

Appreciate any insight here!

I had to specify to my CA that I wanted MP HAS. It’s not on the normal options list.

Went in and put a deposit down 6/14. I used the build sheet to get familiar that was circulated online with the options and sent the CA a screenshot of all the options I wanted, I believe this was put into the order bank on 7/2 or 7/3. He sent the production number two days ago (and I entered into the mygarage and added it) and this morning I got the actual email from BMW saying they received the order. The status never changed since I got the production number has always been Step 2 (scheduled for production) so not sure if it'll go back to step 1 like yours did.

And I just researched the port installed options for the previous year M2 and gave the CA the codes to add to the build. Check them out here and here. He wasn't sure how to add them initially, if your CA is a little confused tell them to send the option code to the dealership buyer to add to your build.

FYI, inlets are now $1,075 and HAS is $3,155. Let me know if you have any other questions, I'm still learning as this is my first BMW.

Congrats! When did you place your order? I have individual paint and think the frozen paints are similar in delay for production times. Trying to get an idea for when my status will change to SFP as well.

My configurator stated even worse: 10-14 week delay. Did you notice the interest rate on the finance calculator jumped up 3/10ths of a percent, as well? Was 5.29% on MY24, now showing 5.59% on MY25. Also, no lower rates for shorter term loans like 36 months like there was previously.

The individual paint delays can be rough but often times the waits shown online are the worst case scenario so hopefully you have the new car before that extreme end of the delay. Check out these spreadsheet, obviously it'll vary but I found it need.

that tracking sheet is full of good info. I just wish it had Individual color cars with data here. Sadly, this won't tell me anything about the delay incurred from going for Individual paint. I did learn that owners in my geographical area seem to get their cars quickest overall. Just hoping the paint delay is minimal, if at all.

I'm not even looking at interest rates at this point.

Motortrend (I think?) has tested the MY24 at 3.5 so if BMW done the underrating homework and given ideal conditions, maaaaaaybe 3.4? If they pull off a 3.3 with this thing I don't know what room they've left for the rumored CS without making that AWD.
