I have no experience with 1500's, but Ive had 2000's twice now. I had them in my G80 M3 and now in my G87 M2.
Of course they are going to feel a little different since they are a different compound. And while I have not done a legit brake test on stopping distance. I feel the 2000's stop just as good as stock. Ive had to slam the brakes a few times on the highway because of traffic and they stopped just fine for me. The dust reduction is hands down worth it to me. I can go a week without my wheels looking dusty. And what dust they do produce hides well on black wheels. No brown wheels here. No squeeks. I will say this though. My 2nd set of 2000's made a pad slap noise moving from a dead stop for a few weeks. They would clunk in the caliper when I would get going from a dead stop. I had my shop look into it and regreasing them seems to have stopped that. Im happy with my purchase. The dust and squeeling alone was my biggest grip with OEM pads.
