Just don't watch the races live. I only watch the north/south American races live, everything else I watch back through f1tv at a more appropriate time. Why I rarely comment on these threads until a day or so after the race... lol.

I always try to watch the race live.
If you're not doing that it's really difficult to not get the results somehow before you watch it back and spoil half the fun. Like hearing it on a radio or hearing people talk about it etc etc

I think last year I didn't watch 1 or 2 races live, I think one was the one in brazil?
But I managed to watch it back without knowing the result or what would happen during the race and glad I didn't! (I did my best not to have a radio on etc where I was)
The best race of the decade would've been ruined!
With that bad qualifying from Max I was expecting him to finish somewhere in the mid top10 and Lando for sure win the race. Was I in for a surprise!

Unlike most races the scheduling is perfect for me. I usually watch other races early Monday morning.

I have Sky F1 channel that broadcasts 24/7 and it's good enough for me I think. I try to watch live but find myself falling asleep before the race starts like Melbourne...Not that I didn't want to watch it

It was nice hearing Hamilton being cheerful on the onboard radio after P1. Well done !

Hamilton - Verstappen front row: interesting. But it will be difficult for both to keep the fast McLarens behind their backs.

Lawson P20 in a Red Bull Racing car ?!? Also one of the drivers who exceeded the 1:54.0-time limit between the Safety Car lines. He blamed the tires instead of fully taking the blame. During practice he went through the gravel. Last week at Melbourne: eliminated in Q1 and crashed during the race. Helmut Marko takes notes. Lawson must pull off a decent result very soon or he'll be heading for a Lawson - Tsunoda swap later this Spring. Red Bull Racing won't allow Lawson to make them lose too many WCC points early this season.

Tsunoda doing well so far, too. Imo makes it feel intentional that red bull keep better drivers away from being with max on the same team. Especially given the dubious justification for selecting Lawson over Yuki

Just saw the sprint qualifying. Super interesting.
Ferrari is back, that's for sure. Hamilton did excellent. Both Ferrari's were strong, through all the sessions.
Max had a really good run in the end, but my expectation is that that was all Max (not even speaking about LAW..), what I mean is: the RB car didn't convince...AT ALL!
Team MERC is also stronger than I expected.

It'll be interesting to see how the tyredeg is on the Ferrari's. That is the big question now.
My expectation for tomorrow is that PIA will sail past Max, battle HAM and win (tyredeg on the McLarens is as I expect non existent..)
And I expect that NOR and LEC will battle for 3rd, and that Max will not be on the podium and will have his hands full with Mercedes.
I mean if anyone can make wonders happen, it's Max, but all through qualifying, his performance (or better said: the car) was meh. Except for that last lap. That was brilliant.

With some time before the sprint I'm keeping an open mind but the old enemies MAX/LEW being on the front should make for an interesting start knowing that MAX usually has the better start
Rotten luck to LIAM starting last as he ran out of time cooling his tyres for a competitive quali lap but it's only the sprint with minimal points.

Yes on the former. If he was so great he'd have gotten pole or a win (which also hasnt happened LMFAO) in any of the other 18 sprints because the first year they existed he had the fastest F1 car of all time and then the other years, he had the second fastest car on the grid. If anything, he got a quite lucky that Max's run wasnt great and both Mclarens messed up their laps too.

I fully expect Max to and Pia to pass him by turn 1.

Points come on the race...and Max and both Mclarens messed up their laps. Ham also got preferential treatment. He was lucky more than anything but fully expect in a race he will tumble down the order - even a guy who strikes out in MLB 200+ times a season and bats under .150 still sometimes hits a home run but doesnt change the overall picture.
