At this point, I'm more recreational and "do-gooder" than anything else. I just joined a club though, and I might consider competing in the 80+ womens cat next year. I had to take a few years off of any type of training after a series of injuries/accidents and going back to school for my masters degree. I used to do triathlons/duathlons (poorly). Balky knee ended those.

Somewhat similar situation. I raced junior and senior year of high school. Raced cat 1 1st year after high school. Toured parts of Europe, Canada, and all over U.S. Racing at pro level. Would never have seen 95% of those places had I not been involved in cycling.

Did the college thing and gained 35lbs over race weight. Not a day goes by that I dont think about where I would be if I kept at it..
