Finally watched Knives Out. And although it had an absolute stellar cast of damn near every actor I like, the film itself was boring AF! In fact, it's been a while since I actually fell asleep during a movie. The one and only thing worth seeing is Ana De Armas. She is just exquisite...
Can't wait to see her in the new BOND film. Very few actresses are as naturally beautiful as her. Of course she's Latina.

I saw it over the weekend...it was good entertainment if you got nothing else to watch. I do recommend watching "T-34" on Amazon Prime.

Huh-- same girl that was "Joi" in Blade Runner 2049. Would never have guessed just by looking at her.

I watched "Hell or High Water". Excellent acting, dialogue, cinematography, and story.

I look forward to seeing "Joker". I like the personal stories, rather than the crappy remanufactured flashy super hero crap that's constantly in the theaters. I like the darker super hero stuff like "Unbreakable" where there's actually a story. I can see what many didn't like Joker because they were probably hoping for some more flashy and action-packed.

I also am not a fan of your normal superhero movie, but I REALLY didn't like joker. Weird, depressing, and I didn't think it was particularly well written.

Although when Joker killed the guy in his apartment, and then told the midget he could leave (he was scared shitless) - he couldn't reach the chain to unhook it and had to ask Joker for help - was hilarious.

I loved Knives Out, great story beginning to end. Daniel Craig was really fun to watch.

My pick for best picture was Parasite. Funny, dark, thought provoking. It deserved all the praise it got. I know it's a good movie when I keep thinking about it for days on after.

Joker: JP was phenomenal in it. The score was amazing.

1917: I thought it was good, I was hooked beginning to end, but more to see where the story went. I didn't really go anywhere and the conclusion didn't leave me with a lasting impression. Besides the big charge, I don't really remember what the ending was about honestly. This wasn't my pic for best picture.

The Irishman: phenomenal gangster pic that rivals Casino and Goodfellas. Note that I love love love long movies that I can get lost in. I can watch the Godfather saga that was cut into one long movie quite easily. The ending to me was pitch perfect despite the general consensus that it was a downer... it's supposed to be.

Wife and I found a sitter so we could go out and watch an R rated flick. It was between Harley Quinn and Bad Boys 3. I'm glad I went for Bad Boys. Both fun and nostalgic. I wish Will Smith made more popcorn flicks like this. It did feel like they were trying to start a Bad Boys franchise a la Fast and Furious though.

Uppity: The Willy T. Ribbs Story

Fantastic documentary. If you're 50-60-ish the racing scenes and stories will really bring you back. But mainly it's about an indomitable spirit and man with incredible focus and drive who didn't take any shit off anyone.

The cast and actors are great in their own right! The storyline e was just boring AF for me.
A better option with similar genre is HIDE & SEEK. Way more entertaining!

I heard "the irishman", though long, doesn't feel like it. Like "Pulp Fiction".
I loved 1917 for its depiction of the western front in WWi, and can't wait to watch "Knives out".

Watched Parasite last night good money. I think it would have been better if I never read the reviews or the buzz around it. Don’t get me wrong great movie but I think I was expecting it to be like one of the best movies I have ever seen and it was not.

I used to read about T Ribbs in On Track Magazine as a kid, I haven't seen the movie but didn't realize...but did he experience a lot of racism at the track ?

On Track Magazine definitely seemed to describe him as a talent and very self assured ...if I recall correctly.
