The F87s are actually down. If you look at what they were selling for in April they were in the lower 60s.
The used car market in general is declining. Last edited by T_U_D; 10-19-2022 at 08:45 AM.. |

All I see is values deflating to the normal they should be. There was clearly a premium added on anything during the last 6-10 months.

"Normally", a 5 year old car with a 60K MSRP would be selling for no more than 35-40K |

There is more cooling off anticipated with the Federal Reserve meeting on November 4th. Another 0.75 hike is expected. Exactly. |

Yeah, that was the point I was making. M2Cs we’re going for 60+, kind of a no brainer to pick up a G87, at least for me. For a few grand more you could snag your exact spec, iDrive 8, warranty, and an additional 50hp.

But, the second part is rubbing in the wheel well. If you are going beyond OEM diameter or width, you run a risk of this. There is usually a little wiggle room, but you got to go lock-to-lock to check and know what the offset is and what the effect of your tires will be. Mostly if you are going just wider on the tire, you want to see what the issue is lock-to-lock. I know for my car I can't run 305s like the rear on the front, or it rubs a wiring harness that has to be repositioned. It's not a big deal to reposition, but that's the limiter. I set up my winter-wheelset so that the offset and tire width would push the tire out to the same outside position as my summers...even though the tires are skinnier. Makes for gobs of inside clearance. You may be able to push out further than in, which means if you run spacers or a different offset rim, you might be able to go a little wider. Lots of variables.

Also most people don’t understand how tire sizes work. A 255/35/19 will be wider AND taller than a 245/35/19. On the F87 going from a summer 245/35/19 up front to a 255/35/19 winter tire would rub. So not much wiggle room. More wiggle room in the back.

Go to 3:45 in this video to hear that the rear seats and center armrest aren't in merino leather even when optioned with carbon buckets. Does anyone know if this is how the production cars will come? If so, then the "full merino" description truly makes no sense at all.

That is terrible. Carbon buckets(recliners) are a waste on G87. Lame. |

Does anyone even know if that "thicker leather" is leather at all? Wouldn't surprise me a bit if it's SensaTec or whatever BMW calls their pleather.

Man when are the next set of driving reviews coming out. I ponder with the shorter wheel base and lower power how this thing will perform.

Guess we can just debate the diff types of leather between carbon seats and why carbon package is so expensive for the next 3 months…
