Honestly I've gotten different answers from different people at Genius. Some people are surprised it hasn't been assigned to a ship yet and told me I should call my CA. Others have said it might be mid November before I get on a ship. So I take what they say with a grain of salt. Not blaming them but I think they mostly read from a script.

Glovis Condor now anchored at Altamira

So I just saw the Glovis Sky is also anchored at Altamira right now. It just got there a few hours ago. And it is also on the Brunswick 15 day outlook. So that's two Glovis ships there now. I am hoping one or both of those ships also swing down to Veracruz to pick up cars.

Sunrise heading back in the direction of Veracruz. That's promising. At least it's not going the opposite way anymore.

Edit: Compared to the ships anywhere near it, it's hauling a## too.

Where are you seeing this data? I am not able to track anything around Veracruz on the vessel finder app. The vessels are not showing titles as opposed to the Altamira port. Either way, something has to give with all these glovis ships off the coast of mexico. BMW is not able to claim a sale if the car is down in mexico so they need to get their act together for year end sales. Not many opportunities left to guarantee delivery prior to year end.

I reached out and he told me if no progress last Friday, he would have the sales manager look into it this week. Followed up today and he said they are looking into it but I get more information from this group than they have provided so far. It just seems like BMW doesn’t have their shit together. How in the world are you not able to tell when the next ship is coming. They are running a billion dollar corporation. Even target know when they are shipping your product.

My CA couldn't even tell me what port my car is currently sitting in but says once i am assigned a carrier he will have more information for me.

He was able to tell me that my entry port is Brunswick for North Carolina delivery.

That one is easy!

You (and everyone else) can see that one on the Purchase Contract and Vehicle Inquiry you signed for your allocation. Mine is NYCPOA (NYC Port Authority).

When I spoke with one of the BMWGeniuses, they told me they have zero contact with anyone at the dealership or in logistics, and they have no idea who or where those people are, or what information they have.

And a couple of the BMWGeniuses independently told me that they often have suspicions about how things work
e.g.

• If you do a survey after the call, you won't get another one for the rest of the month.
• Or their system updates once a day or within 1 hour after setting sail with ships
• Which ships and how often they pickup cars

And they socialize that amongst themselves, but they don't really know definitively from any source if it's not in their system.

So given all my contacts with folks, by far the BMWGeniuses are my favorites because they have very limited information, but they are honestly trying above and beyond to help callers.

Myself and Bimmerguy618 are coming into NC (Durham and Charlotte) and going to Baltimore. Who’s your dealer? Brunswick seems further and therefore more costly but since it is an earlier stop you would get it quicker.

Genius told me port of entry it is assigned without input from dealer or owner.
