What is a dimmer switch? Are we calling the same thing something different? You had to step on it to put on the high beams.

Now it's on one of your stalks. Would rather have the one you activate with your foot.

Ah, the good old days.

I prefer the stalk. The button was so far up it was a stretch to reach it.

Don’t remember when, without looking it up, but it premiered on MTV. They advertised it way in advance. I watched it. Still watch MTV, but now I watch MTV Classic.

^ Looked it up; December 2, 1983.

"The video debuted on MTV alongside the documentary Making Michael Jackson's Thriller on December 2, 1983. After each broadcast, MTV advertised when they would next play it, and recorded audience figures ten times the norm. Showtime aired the video six times in February."

Yeah... I was driving my 4-speed '65 Mustang on a curvy road with my high beams on. I was going around a curve when I was in the middle of a shift and here comes a car opposite direction! Unfortunately, my foot was on the clutch at the same time I needed t hit the dimmer switch. Needless to say, the opposing driver got a bit blinded.

On typewriters just like those. And we felt advanced with those electric typewriters.

I never got to where I could type more than about 25 words a minute, but I still remember QUERTY and how to type properly. I never typed entirely by touch. I always had to glance down to make sure I was on the right keys. My mom was an excellent typist. Even though I was never particularly proficient at it I’ve always been grateful I learned how.

While you're on my lawn, would you mind pushing the mower around? Finding a reliable neighborhood kid to mow our lawn for a dollar is getting difficult these days.....

One dollar? Sorry...My fees went up last March although you can make me an offer I can't refuse.

And don't say $2.
