This is actually pretty sad….i saw the same with the other vehicle carriers in the area as well. Unfortunately not a single one can get into port despite multiple openings at port.

Starting to wonder how did your CA know you were released to the sunrise but “Genius” don’t have that in their system at the assignment step….still at RFT correct?

Hey clubroad , nice to meet you. Yes, Southpoint, since it is a little closer, about 20 minutes and only 5 minutes from work. I talked to both dealerships and they each only had one M340 on the lot in Sept, but not close to the packages I wanted so just built. I had initially spent time with a sales rep at Southpoint so chose that. I did feel the Leith reps I talked to were well informed on the car but our guesses on this forum seems in most cases better than what either dealers or Genius can tell us.

I was originally tracking every day, looking up vessels, and refreshing my garage. But now I just check this forum a few times per day which gives me much more info. Once somebody says they are on a ship or status changed to in transit from this group, I’ll be all over it again.

This support group is a great way to share information, make decisions on cars/features/parts, and sanely pass the time while our cars are MIA. Like others I am surprised there isn’t better info and you have to believe BMW knows where the car is, but they aren’t actively monitoring it and providing that information either due to cost or it will cause more people to utilize and they’ll have to staff it at a higher level (again cost).

I’m believe the CAs have access to info that genius does not but I’m not positive.

Just saw a ship named Sebring docked at Altamira. It is on Brunswick 15 day outlook and I can see for a fact BMW's used it before on importinfo.com (it used to be called Sebring Express).

When I started this thread, Ibthought we’d all have our cars by mid-Nov.

Really disappointing to be sitting in Ready for Transport for a whole month, and still have no firm prospects for getting on a ship.

Hope these ships can load cars and head north soon, or it will be a huge downer from BMW.

It looks like a lot of ships are loitering and doing circles around Veracruz. I'm starting to believe that the wind did cause an issue with these large ro-ro's and they are in holding patterns.
