Rex is exactly right about Meyers but as usual has to throw in a few plugs about what a great coach HE is. Yeah, that's why you've been on pregame shows instead of coaching. What a tool.
But this may cause any successful college coach to have serious second thoughts about making the jump to the big boys......if Urban was such a failure,who's gonna do better? Maybe get some deserving NFL assistants a job instead.

Urban was never going to be a good NFL coach though. He ran his programs like a dictator in college, which works when you are the only star on the team and you turn over the roster every 3-4 years. College is a star coach league, where the NFL is a star player league. Cant treat NFL players the same. And you cant recruit the best players in the country and have a team that is just better physically and talent wise. Everyone in the NFL is talented. Except for the Giants

I would love to see this and pay good money on PPV to see it only because it would only be allowed once to happen.

Only problem is injuries. For the college players they are much more likely to get injured vs. NFL. NFL players are bigger, stronger, faster, etc. So why risk an NFL career where you could have a life long injury that prevents you from playing in the NFL. Even on the worst NFL team there are star players making damn good money. I don't see college kids or NFL players risking it unless forced to play that game.

I don't think the nfl players association would EVER green light such a game for various reasons.

The college team would get SMOKED by the way. You are 18-21 years old vs the average NFL player is 26. 5 more years(on average). 5 more years to bulk up muscle, to learn your position, etc.

Even a team full of NFL draft rookies after 1 season of NFL play would likely smoke the winning college team assuming they had some time to prepare and actually play together as a team. The NFL draft get's the best from all of the colleges. The best then get weeded out over the next 4 years and every year you get to recruit from the best colleges, you just get this revolving door of amazing athletes.

Now morally would it be 'right' to watch 26 yr old professionals beat up on 18-22 year old college kids? Probably not. They would get slaughtered.

You guys are too young to remember but the "College All Stars" used to play the NFL champions as a preseason game.
I just checked and this nonsense went on till 1976. I thought Lombardi put a stop to it after the 1963 team lost to the All Stars.

considering even the worst team in the NFL is comprised of 53 NFL players, and the absolute best team in college is comprised of a handful of NFL players, it wouldnt be much of a game.

As a Lions fan, I saw my squad get shafted out of their first playoff win since 1991 (and second playoff win since 1958) when the refs picked up the PI flag against the Cowpokes in the 2014 NFC Wild Card.

Dude it was ridiculous and blatant. That's just ONE play the hawks got screwed on. In the end, they lost and RW had a shit game. Metcalf smoked Ramsey and had about 5 yards on him and would have had an easy TD to tie the game but RW short armed it and the ball got deflected away. Metcalf was fuming after that. Actually he was pissed off at RW almost the entire game. Don't blame him. He just hasn't been the same since his injury. The Seahawks need to get blown up and fire the coaches. Been painful to watch this season.

They've been absolute shit for a while now. Their DBs have come and gone and they can't stay healthy. Their D line hasn't been able to pressure QBs consistently. Dunlap was an exception last night and got 3 sacks but the whole team is a total shell of itself. I blame a lot of it on the coaching which I've said many times, needs to go.
