I think so too, it sucks how expensive a stupid nail can be with AWD.
May bite the bullet and get 4 pilot sport AS4’s, as this was my plan when I went through these summer tires. |

I just don’t want to waste these expensive PS4S by pulling them off right away. I’ve only got a few thousand KMs on them. Not expecting I’ve had an easy time selling them considering they’re staggered etc. |

And i hate the idea of bringing my car to a shop so i may go to the dealer and get shafted on cost even more. Though I may go to a Goodyear shop that has done good work for me on my BRZ, just don’t know how many BMWs they work on so I’m iffy. If the dealer messes up a wheel or caliper, I trust they will make it right |

The tire currently holds more pressure than the other 3 tires, starting to think/hope it didn’t fully puncture and maybe a steel band stopped it. Due to the angle it probably didn’t have a ton of force to it

I was actually just thinking about that and looking up averages for these tires, I’m going to measure tomorrow.

The dealer wanted $79 per wheel for labor so I went with a shop I’ve used for years, they never damaged any of my aftermarket wheels. Plus I wanted the tire hazard protection which is nice to have for 2 years. I could have still gone tire rack but the dealer wouldn’t allow me to ship the tires to them and said I’d need to bring them with me, which I don’t have time/patience to deal with. |

I only wanted them to do it in the event they messed up a wheel or caliper, I think it would be easier to get a proper response/fix. But the shop I am going to has all long time employees so I think I’ll be good, just hope they have the correct jack pads on their lift and don’t mess up the cups.

Installed tint on the clear reverse light section of my tail lights. I wanted a lighter tint and AutoID 's was not in stock so I went with this company: https://innovativepaintprotectionsol...ys-g42-g43-g87. Apparently, they are based in the UK also, which I did not know, and it took some time to arrive.
It was slightly cheaper and came with an applicator. There is an installation video at their website. You have to remove the protective covering from the glue side and then the front as shown in the video. What is NOT shown in the video is how difficult that is to do. There should be tabs attached which would make this easier. I am satisfied with the product and the way it looks on my vehicle. It takes the edge off and is not too dark. From reading other posts about tail light tinting I know its not for everybody, but I am not everybody. Last edited by J-RO; 10-19-2023 at 03:53 PM.. |

Yes, I have ZTK and am switching from the OEM summers to all seasons. I planned to do this eventually when I wore down the summers but then this happened so it’s happening a little early. I’ll let you know if there’s a noticeable difference.

Normally I am not a fan of tinting rear tail lights but this looks really good because it doesn't black out the whole thing, only the reverse lights which are not nearly as important as brake lights. Looks great! Thank you for the pics and link as well. |

The reverse lights aren’t for your reversing benefit, they indicate that you are reversing to other road users. |

Ok well kidding aside, to correct what I said, they barely indicate that the car is reversing so you might as well slap some tint on there. |
