my post didnt say anything about not doing the work right. in fact, it specifically says "if you cant wire it up properly yourself, you shouldnt be doing it."
I've looked at the wiring instructions for the a few L2 chargers. It's just a regular 240V 50 to 60-amp circuit at the supply panel side and the instructions are clear on the charger side. If one has done any electrical wiring it's straight forward. #6 or #4 (depending on run length) wire takes some manhandling, but nothing outright difficult.

Tesla catches fire after impact, with doors unable to be opened there were four fatalities with one seriously injured survivor that was somehow pulled out of a smashed window.

Tesla’s stock sees best day in 11 years. Why it’s still hard not to be bullish.

The analysts must not have seen what the anti-EV group in this thread has written ….

Had a Lucid Grand Touring. It was a great car, but I did not feel comfortable taking longer trips. I did take it from Charlotte to Atlanta a few times. I got to know where the fast chargers were on my route. My wife got really tired of sitting in a Walmart parking lot. I also went from Charlotte to Chapel Hill on numerous trips. The problem was that I could make the roundtrip without charging, most of the time. Otherwise, it was a quick stop at a Walmart in Greensboro unless we had spent the night in Chapel Hill and were lucky enough to stay in one of the few places that has a charger.

I wanted to take the Lucid on a trip from Charlotte to New Orleans (through Laurel, MS, but MS is kind of a charging void. I was then going from New Orleans to Seaside, FL and back to Charlotte. It was really hard to get info on Seaside charging and charging in New Orleans is tough unless you have a home charger. We decided not to take the Lucid.

Keep in mind that the Lucid has great range. I just hated the anxiety of not only where to charge, but if the chargers were working (often not or only partially), if there would be one available (not always the case) and the length it took to get a meaningful charge.

Full EV in the southeast does not make sense unless you are only using it local in my opinion. Hybrid seems like a better option.

Isn't it amazing that Tesla is still doing well despite most of its cars catching fire and killing its occupants?

Im not talking about the bullshit fearmongering.

I'm talking about massive competition, poor brand direction, poor management and a ceiling on EV adoption.

I don't have any money invested in Tesla but there is a huge potential upside there still and clearly risk. Fun to watch.

Yeah, it looks grim for tesla, any optimism in the market is going to be short lived.

Green will continue to grow
Yellow will rebound due to new introductions

All while the volume is plateauing and price pressure creeps in.

I can't imagine any market analyst is expecting Tesla to retain their present market share.

its not. ive installed a handful now for myself, friends and family.

especially easy if your panel is right by where you are installing the charger. The "hardest" part is making sure you get the right materials. Right size and type breaker, wire, etc.

and before anyone gets too crazy with "omg what about their home insurance?", id say im qualified to install based on my electrical inspector certs and experience as an electrical contractor and a GC.

youve got to keep in mind the overall market size of EVs is also growing though. So while Tesla's market share may not continue to increase, and others will increase, the total size of the pie is also increasing.

Despite Tesla's shrinking market share, they are still beating previous years sales #s

The guy in this video really needs to get his irritable bowel syndrome under control. He’s never asymptomatic so he can’t take a normal thumbnail.

One can only wonder in horror, the gastrointestinal catastrophe that happened to him right after taking this picture.

He is definitely dishing out some stuff. Not convinced it is only words.

Just took the Tesla Model 3 from FL to NC. On average it takes us about 12 hours to do the trip in the Cayenne basically stopping 2-3 times to put gas, eat and/or let the dogs out.

I left at 11:40am and arrived at 12:10am. I did 2 or 3 rest area stops in addition to the charging stops. Which I believe were 3 or 4 total and 15-30 min each. So practically the same as the Cayenne. I’m pretty confident I could have easily done it in 12 hours had I not taken the extra stops (because I was driving alone I stopped more to stretch my legs).

On the downside it did catch fire about 6 times during the trip. Luckily I had my big gulp handy each time.

I'm just shocked that we didn't hear about your car burning down a shopping mall during a pit stop. Glad you made it alive.
