Left yesterday... up in Auburn AL to see what happens... if it's bad we'll continue to our house in Greenville SC.

It was a gorgeous evening. We went over to another friends house for dinner and had a few drinks. We shall see what tomorrow brings

It's been so hot here that my power conditioner has been showing ~ 112-113v regularly. Usually I am at ~121v.

Yeah, it's not good at all. This girl is a brute. We are in for a wild ride. It's just a shame they couldn't get contraflow into place. I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried. This will be a true test I think of flood protection they've been building since Katrina.

I wasn't scared last night, but this morning, I'm actually really really worried to be going through this alone.

Our weekend was overcast and cool, with highs only in the mid-70's F. Although the cloud cover was holding the heat in overnight, it still got down into the mid-60's and allowed us to give our central AC a 14 hour break.

I didn't hear the USAF Thunderbirds performing yesterday or today at the air show, so I'm guessing the clouds were too low for them to put on their show safely. I heard/saw the F-22 Raptor Demo Team performing, though. Coincidence or jinx, it always seems to be rainy/cloudy when the NY Air Show is scheduled here for late August.....
