I am thinking if any additional color options become available, it would be when the Comp/CS are available to order.

Agreed. I would expect at least 2 production years before the Competition comes out...but I am also not in charge of BMW roll out team so that is why I emphasized the PERHAPS... we dont know what they are going to do or what could change in the next year.

BMW has got to get the base model launched prior to anything else coming down the line.

So I just found out some interesting news specific to my order. I'm #2 on the list at a dealer in the Boston area, ever since I put a deposit down in April 2022 for MSRP. When the reveal happened last October they jerked me around and tried to get me to agree to a markup of "at least" $10k. I stuck my ground and they said that since I had an MSRP order signed they would have to honor it.

My CA has told me multiple times that there are 15 people on the list and that everyone on it is paying a markup of "at least $5k". Well I just connected with someone on this forum (you know who you are lol) who got on the list at the dealer I'm ordering from as #4 with no markup last month.

On one hand it's classic dealer lies but on the other at least I'm a lot less worried about being bumped down the priority list for someone paying a huge markup

That’s really fucked up. It’s a shame many dealerships have shady ass management that use dishonest tactics like this.

I'm going to my dealer tomorrow morning to check out TR in person. Looking forward to hearing what they say about all this news.

Visited my dealer and they reaffirmed my number 1 spot at MSRP and saw TR in person on an X5M.

I have to think of that more and look at my photos. I'll post them later in the TR thread.

TR on a X5M is a rather large dose of TR. Try to keep that in mind.

I'm just curious, which dealership are you working with? I was thinking about eventually ordering an M2 but didn't want to have to go through this BS. I live in the Boston area as well. If you don't want to publicly shame them, I understand but if you don't mind PM'ing me, I'd appreciate it!

Not a spec I'm interested in but do you know if it's MSRP?

At MSRP, BMW of Chattanooga has not participated in any “market adjustments” for the entire craziness of the last couple of years with one exception of the CSL.

Order bank is 15 people deep. Cut off new waiting list applicants due to the prediction of allocation numbers. Currently 2 years worth of wait list clients.

Makes this less then desirable spec HEA unit worthwhile due to current wait times to secure an allocation.

Not all sonic automotive stores held to MSRP pricing, that was a store level management decision.
