Took my pretty purple baby back to the dealer for ceramic/leather coat, which I was too impatient to have done when the car was ready. Yes, I bought them from the dealer. Yes, I know, I should have bought them elsewhere. I'm weak. They started at what was going to be my opening bid when I bought the car and I haggled them down from there.

Taking it in for tint and likely some PPF for the gloss black soon (at a local custom shop). I already ordered my console cubby and fancy crystal start button. You people are bad influences! Too many fun things to buy. It's a 2022, so I've been eyeing those anniversary badges, too...

There is this dude on a facebook group I'm in who will refer you to search on bimmerpost instead of saying what mod he got or post a link to the mod. He's totally worthless when it comes to getting information.

Clearly few of us take notice to the light switches and hazard light trim. I didn't even notice the metal trim was added. I guess you can say it looks factory enough...lol.

One of these is getting installed. I am not quite sure what I would place in either but I would prefer to have one of them instead of a blank space. The one with the lid concerns me since it would be a two step process in having to open the lid. Am I ever going to place something in there that needs to be covered? Will the lid eventually break off? Please help me decide. Thanks.

I too went with the lid, even though I am condom-less. (That sales photo is never going to get old.) Just looks neater imo.

The one with the lid is what I went with. It looks identical to the factory filler piece - you cannot tell that it is a compartment.

My guess is that you will find a use for either one of them and they are so easy to install you can try one and swap it out later if you don't like it.

I am keeping my lip balm in there for now so that it doesn't melt all over the inside of my console (like most of my previous cars).

I do not have this; however, if I were to get it, it would be with the lid. What I have found, I use that flat space to rest my mug/tumbler on when I do not want to put it in the cup holder. If there is no cover, can't do that anymore.
