They're not really that bad but if you wanted something in the mid range Laura Davidson furniture has a premium line you can get a link to from there chat form. I think it's about $700 for an Italian leather eames replica

Just looked and even cheaper. https://www.lauradavidsondirect.com/...talian-leather

I've had this for years.

So it does not vent outside the house?

Correct. These boxes are made for inside venting. My dryer is less than two feet from the garage, so when my brother comes out in the spring to redo the bathrooms, he's going to run a new vent into the garage with this box on the end. It'll pump a little heat onto the garage, but that won't be a bad thing for most of the year and it really won't matter in the summer when the garage is oven hot anyway. In the meantime, it'll just vent into the crawl space between the house foundation and the garage foundation. Otherwise it's a 35ft run to the outside wall. That's too far to vent a dryer.

Many years ago, my grandparents' dryer used to vent into a 3-seasons room to use the waste heat. Believe it or not, they just put a cut-off panty hose leg over the vent hose end, and changed it out every once in a while as lint built up.....

I saw a DIY bucket that was literally a 5-gallon bucket of water with an adapter for the dryer hose and another to vent the air out. The lint collects on the water surface and eventually sinks. You just have to change the water every other month or so.

I bought a nice dryer vent cleaning kit with one of those drill adapter cleaner things only to find out my dryer vent went right from the side of the laundryroom to the outside and is all of 6 inches long! fail

My dryer is on an outside wall, so I could run a really short vent to the outside. But that would put it on my front porch within a couple of feet of my front door. Who wants a dryer venting there?

This house we moved into 18 years ago had the dryer vent into the garage, panty hose filter and all.

One day, on a Saturday, we had a load of clothes drying and I was in the garage, working on one of my radio control airplanes. Did the same routine the next Saturday.

Each night thereafter I started having some really weird dreams. They were in black and white and always included ferns and jungle-like foliage. Basically, my own personal movies behind my eyes.

We had a gas dryer. I'm sure you can connect the dots.

Ours is electric, so no CO worries. But yeah, you gotta be careful what you vent inside.

After much soul searching, finally settled on my first 5.1 by mixing and matching four of these Bowers & Wilkins M1s (compact and white to please the wife but good nuff quality for the smallish basement), a B&W 8" sub, and a Definitive Technology 1000 series center channel.

Icing on the cake is upgrading my 65" Sony LED for the 77" A80j OLED...while bigger is almost always better, I decided against cramming in the massive 85" Sony LED x85J and going with the slightly smaller but higher quality (and pricier) OLED. The Sony a80j and LG C1 seem to be neck and neck for top TV in this category but apparently the Sony comes better calibrated out of the box, and my 65" had zero issues ever.

So much soul searching...this is my first 5.1 setup so was aiming entry-level-ish (although I have gone deeper on my F10 sound system)...it is crazy that no matter how many home audio "experts" at stores you ask no one ever has a remotely decisive opinion. I ended up going with Best Buy bc it turns out if you buy the $200 annual tech support it includes install for every item...including TV mount on my brick wall, all speaker mounts and wiring, not bad.

Even though I'm a middle aged, married Dad, I'm still a clothes and fashionable dude.
