Talked to a couple dealers and I am thinking about going for the HEA car at msrp then trading it in for the spec I want. This wait is way overdue lol

One of the dealers said the m2 should be here in a month or so and I have first priority. Anyone else getting their m2 soon?

I tried to do the same thing, and my dealer did not like this idea because they wanted everyone in line to get a shot at owning an example of the car.

After I committed to the HEA unit, I was pushed down the waiting list to '24. While that irritated me, I respect their position and stance and was happy to move down the list.

Only saying this to say, talk to your CA first about trying to keep your custom order and taking the HEA

BMW Of Shrewsbury is a JOKE! Don’t go buying any of their cars! “Dave Mack” called me telling me their BMW M2 in Brooklyn Grey is coming in a month for 20k over msrp.

I told them no way and he said I shouldn’t be inquiring about the M2 unless I wanted to pay way over MSRP.

They don’t know shit about cars and trying to bully people into believing these cars are super limited and no one can get one. These sales guys can bury themselves. No one is paying 20k over.

Yeah I wish I had been checking the forum more frequently and looks like I missed out on getting an HEA from a dealer out of state. I would have stayed on the list at my local dealer and just traded in when my name came up since I am so far down on the list. Where I'm at it'll probably be a 24 or 25 at this point.

Well, someone will undoubtedly pay 20k over, but they'll be a total sucker and uninformed to do it.

Regardless of when your car is completed, they may hold these cars at port until launch. Hopefully not the case but it is possible.

Interesting, yesterday I contacted my dealership on a whim about their incoming HEA unit.

First response was that it was 10k over, I declined, and then 2 hours later I get a response saying "I misspoke, it is MSRP for locals" Not the exact spec I'd want, so I ask about the timeline/waitlist for orders.

Then I find out they don't have ANYBODY in the waitlist yet. I counted myself out until the Comp trim gets (hypothetically) released since I'm fairly late into the game at this point... Custom order is still MSRP, no markup.

Needless to say I hopped on that immediately. Not sure how this was possible considering the two other dealership within 30 miles are at 5k ADM with 5+ deep waitlists....

I have to wonder if they were truly doing 10k ADM for everyone previously, and then I got lucky by being the final straw before they changed their mind, perhaps they lost many potential customer's previously that were unwilling to pay ADM?

Kudos! The way ADMs go away is if people refuse them.
Seems nearly everywhere that Buyers raise prices and Sellers lower prices. (What happens as Demand and Supply try to balance out.)

I'm guessing this will be the case with most of the ADM dealers including mine. Our list is incredibly short. After the first few people pass on a 10k ADM and we have zero people on the list we will obviously default to MSRP. I believe that's the way it should be.
