I'm not a huge fan of the jubilee bracelet, but I've seen a Batman in person and it's gorgeous. However, this purchase was my first big watch purchase and was my only "real" watch for years - the GMT just seemed to fit the bill; can dress it up or down and wear with almost any color scheme

Sorry, forgot to post a pic of my BLNR. I got this about 2 months after I picked up my Daytona. When I picked up my Daytona, I told him that I would be interested in either a Hulk or a GMT if one were available.
Got a call from my AD saying that the BLNR was available if I wanted it. In between the purchase of these two watches, I purchased a VERY nice sapphire ring for the wife. I'm sure that had something to do with being offered the GMT. I really like the GMT with the Jubilee band. It looks so different from all the other oyster bands I have. You can still wear it to work or with jeans, so versatility is still there. It's very comfortable too. First pic is at my AD when I picked it up. Yes, the Daytona's chrystal is a bit smudged. I do wear it quite often. Second is at a client.

It's good to have friends in the business. I have my AD's cell number and just text him when I need something. No, I don't abuse it at all. He actually offered me an all original, from the original owner including all paperwork 1959 Rolex 6538! But alas, I just couldn't swing the low six figure price point.

What’s up with Pricing on Rolex Subs? Few years ago it was about $8K for a Sub. Those have gone up to $10-11K while the 40th and 50th Subs are now approaching $15K (had an opportunity to buy a 40th for dad for $7,500 few years ago but mom said no so we passed on it).

I recently registered over on rolexforums. Very colorful group! A mix of well informed, kind enthusiasts and some angry nutcases!
Anyway, there are about 8 million posts on grey market dealer hate, price increases and limited supply. Speculation is all over the place, but Rolex did just raise prices for 2020 |

desirable sport models are all on a waitlist (Sub, GMT, Daytona, etc) and rarely can you walk in and buy one. So if you want one, you either need to get on a waitlist, which youll never get to the top unless you are buying the less desirable stuff, or pay the premium to the secondary market.
