"Quiet As the Moon (1987)
Music by Dave Brubeck Dedicated to the memory of Marvin Asnes. A Note from the Composer by Dave Brubeck The theme for “Quiet as the Moon” was composed for a Peanuts television series, “This is America, Charlie Brown,” in which the Peanuts characters flew to the moon on a NASA space ship." https://www.davebrubeck.com/quiet-as-the-moon |

I'm not that much of an expert on music just putting in on while preparing dinner, listen with earphones and I recommend Pioneer SE-MJ503, they cater for all types of music and are reasonably priced.

PS - then again it's different equipment so maybe it's a little like comparing apples to oranges. Before it was vinyl on a turntable, now it's on my laptop or my phone. |

"The original LP and CD of Sgt. Pepper are quite similar sounding. They share thin tonality and pond-flat dynamics. The CD is worse due to sharp highs and pervasive edginess that make it hard to listen to. A 2009 CD remastered by Guy Massey and Steve Rooke smooths and fills things out. Rhythms have more drive, dynamics have some life, and the superior transparency makes details more audible.... Both constitute worthy upgrades over their predecessors." I have the 2017 50th Anniversary Special Sgt. Pepper, which I don't like: "...the younger Martin fails us. He boosted all of the vocals—as well as certain instruments—to the point where they’re right in your face. And there’s no letup. So rather than the Beatles’ carefully-plotted journey through emotional highs and lows, Martin gives us an album that’s unremittingly aggressive. Rather than inviting you into a fascinating world, as even the lousiest-sounding predecessors did, the new edition pushes you away." I thought the bass was boosted too much, catering to more modern tastes. https://www.theabsolutesound.com/art...-of-sgt-pepper |
