Game changer is lemon zest in the stuffing. Bruno Albouze's recipe calls for lemon confit, which is far better than lemon zest, but I don't have a batch of confit going in the fridge at the moment.

We attended a wine dinner last night. Great food and wine. Sorry about the octopus pic, I got a little excited about the course and dug in before I snapped the pic. The duck was out of this world, best I’ve ever had. No pics of the wine, hence appropriate for the dinner thread. We did order 6 bottles, though. Will post to the wine thread when I receive them.

Ful mudammas

So good! Arabic entree with fava beans, cumin, coriander, onions, garlic, green chile, S&P, tahini sauce and EVOO. I added eggplant, and left out cilantro because I had none on hand!

With grilled whole wheat Syrian flatbread.

Raspberries for dessert!
