Anyone else think the ones popping up at the dealer are strange in spec... Missing some obvious things like extended shadow line (headlights) etc.... Maybe its just me.

I have been hunting for two allocations I'm looking to order two one manual and one auto but three dealers near me said I might as well wait till 24 go around. They have nothing to give.

Of course they have no allocations to "give" you outright. I dont know any dealer that has allocations other than those ripping off their customers on the list and offering allocations to others with a ridiculous ADM.

Best thing to do, find the right dealer that is at least getting allocations and while not having a super long list...and get your name on the list.

ooohhh Dang.... Production probably still ramping and guess demand is that great.... Just seeing 3 to 4 on the lot I assumed they would be pushing production hard. lol Oh well guess I'll wait and heck by next year they might have the comp or CS in auto for me to grab.

If I had to guess, Comp or CS would not be till MY 25. They have just too many base M2 orders to fulfill and they aren't pumping them out at a lightning's pace. If that is what you want, to avoid similar delays being encountered with the base M2, find a reputable dealer who doesn't charge ADMs and get on the list for Comp/CS (you may have to out a minimal deposit down but it should get you high up on the wait list).

Yeah I'll have to reach out to my typical sales guy then... I wasn't sure how soon I could have gotten on a list.... So far they have never charged me ADM even with the XM I have coming. That was so easy to get an allocation for just thought the M2 might be as common. lol guess not. I want a base bc I don't think Six speed will be possible for the CS or Comp but will take auto in one of those if possible.

Supposedly they’re dealers giving pretty sizable discounts on XMs (i.e $10k), similar to BMW Motorrad’s mistake with the massive and unsightly R18, they’re giving those away. M2 is a completely different story.

Since I am #2 as told, I will give them until end of May for an allocation. If I don't get one, I will start looking at Supra again.

I thought about the supra but every time I get in it I am reminded it has crap visibility. And one reason I want the manual M2 is for the track car. I'm not super competitive but enjoy the engagement of shift on the track. I know it's not the fastest etc but I'm not looking for time attack just fun day's out.

I was also told #2 and now I magically got bumped to #3 with no real explanation.. "we don't know what happened" they haven't received any allocation pulls.. I'm going to give them till june also, I'm eyeing 718's for the meantime...
Who knows how long I will be waiting.

Who knows how long I will be waiting.

The wife loves her 718 and really enjoys the track time with it too. Very great ride and CHEAP for on and off the track use. You cannot go wrong with that one.
