With talks of the 116900 possibly being discontinued, any chance these might hold decent value in the future? Looks like the older Air King models have fairly crummy resale; it's certainly no Submariner in that regard.

It’s hard to predict but it’s corky and looks like a fun piece. But I prefer the classic pieces.

the air king was one of the worst selling models until the rumors of them being discontinued started. and even then, they are fetching a premium like the other sport models, just not selling for as big of a loss

Congrats! I am waiting on one and won't pay above retail. Been waiting for years as I won't buy a PM Rolex to bribe the dealers. Oh well, maybe COVID-19 will help out.

It was announced this morning that Rolex, Patek Philippe, Tudor, Chopard and Chanel will be leaving Baselworld. The brands will be teaming up with the group responsible for Watches & Wonders, Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (formerly known as SIHH), for a new expo in Geneva in early April of 2021. This new show will run congruent with Watches & Wonders at the Geneva Palexpo.

This atom bomb comes as no surprise to many, as the powerhouse brands Rolex, Tudor, and Patek recently announced that they would be postponing their 2020 releases to later this year or possibly even 2021. Shortly after launch dates were postponed, it was reported that Rolex executive Hubert du Plessix reached out to Baselworld management requesting refunds for all major brands set to show at the cancelled 2020 exhibition.

Here is one of mine that I just picked up. A 1989 16200 Datejust, box and papers including the original credit card franking slip for £950.00. A simple yet very classy watch that goes with pretty much anything.[IMG]

Lukeuk, I have the same Rolex, it’s just on a Oyster. I love the white dial, with roman numerals. I purchased it in 1998. It gets more wrist time, than my SS Submariner Date. I love its simplicity, and comfort. Great watch.

Yea a stunning watch, the sharpness of those numerals, only Rolex could do. I live the comfort of the jubilee bracelet as it hugs the wrist. I also have a batman on an oyster bracelet, which is comfortable, but not as much as the jubilee. I will never sell this one
