The M2 is the last true drivers car BMW make & it's barely clinging on to that, for gods sake focus on what makes it the success it is, which is the dynamics. Not the bloody grill or entertainment system or headlight/tail light design or other such trivial rubbish.
I've no doubt the looks & inclusions will be just fine, the major concerns must be changes to what makes the M2 an M2 such as additional mass, drivetrain options, steering feel etc. If you can't see that your looking at the wrong car.
Glad someone finally said it

I like the angled pics but holy overhang!!

One of the things I love about the 1M is how compact it always feels with minimal overhang.

This has grown considerably in size.

BUT that being said personally I like the more boxy and classic BMW cues I am seeing here a return to the E82 a bit. Hope they don't stick a giant grille on! Eek

2 seriously worrying changes for driving enthusiasts & current 1M/M2 owners released already:- electric handbrake/floating caliper and torque converter auto.
Hard to determine size & weight increases yet but overhangs look to have increased which is not a good sign.
As for the concerns over tail lights, grills & mufflers etc, I couldn't give a rats arse as that has zero effect on how it drives.

I hope so,it looks terrible on the M2C.My dealer had the new M3 and M4 on display today and they have the muffler basically hidden on the G80 by the rear diffuser. The new large exhaust tips look awesome.

The circles near the bottom of the bumper pretty much confirm the same grill as the m3. Anyone disagree?

The ACC radar is located in the middle. How could it possibly have the M3/M4 grill?

With respect, you chose to post a pic of a murdered out F87 rear (complete with rear deflector delete) that shows none of the lines. There are early test mules that show off more of the body lines than this pic!

No AWD bullshit please. This isn't Audi.

Keep it to lighter weight RWD with MT&DCT.
We don't need another torque converter M.

ZF8 on the G87 M2.

M-DCT ends with the F87 M2C and F87 M2 CS.

Where is this confirmed?

Then my next new car acquisition car won't be a BMW unless they make 6MT super lightweight.

You already know that the 4 door 2 series is FWD based. So, why would they do a 4 door M2 based on the RWD chassis?
The only way you are getting a 4 door version of this M2 is if you build it yourself.
