I usually e-mail BMW Genius; they usually get back to you pretty quickly; I find it a lot less frustrating then dealing with my CA or the phone.

My car was in status 112 when I walked into the dealership and ordered. It was going to actually start production any day. They changed it to my spec and it started production the next day. I believe they said that is status 150. Once it's in status 150 it cannot be modified. Most people get an allocation in status 111 and that is a longer wait than getting one in 112. |

It's approaching 9 weeks now with no movement from quality check! Five months now since the order was accepted. No sign in sight on when my car will be delivered let alone move from quality check.

I signed up to buy this car because of an immediate, available allocation back in October. There will approach a time where it'll be worth ordering the M2, even if it means resetting the clock on the order. This wait is not commensurate with the value of the car. |

Been in "Ready for Transport" since 12/23. My CA said I'm still looking at another 4-6 weeks until delivery. I'm hoping it doesn't take that long. I originally ordered on 10/29

I literally asked, what is the min-max range I'm looking at when ordering this car and I was told 2-6 months..and thats what I set my mindest on. Everyone thats like "I'll just get another car If I don't see this one soon"....if you don't want the car that bad why did you even order it in the first place?? I get this sucks, but manage expectations :P

I'm in this wait for however long it takes. It's the lack of information and movement that is frustrating. Was the 2-6 months from the time the order was accepted at the manufacturing plant? |

Mines built and been in port in the US since 11/9 with no estimate of when it might ship. I was excited for the car, but also it worked out because my lease expired in September and this car was supposed to arrive in November. Call me a whiner, but I understand how easy it is to get frustrated and impatient waiting.

My car is in QC, after being delayed about 7 weeks. Not sure when it will be out of QC. There is another car that I have been tracking, it went into production on 1 December and has been sitting at ready for transport for a couple weeks. I won't be as patient with this car as I was for my M3, if it gets delayed to where I would take delivery after the winter is over then I'll cancel it and then wait till you can order a 2023 and get that in time for next winter. I'm hoping that the "new instrument panel" doesn't mean iDrive 8 and that ugly 1 piece thing. But I would like to be able to get the M Sport Pro Package if that means M Seat Belts. I get that it's the entire supply chain/manufacturing shortage problems but it really is getting old having everything be delayed, delayed, delayed. Even the new house that I am having built has been delayed months. That 6-7 month build time has moved to almost 12 months at this point. Makes me wish I could just walk away from that without losing any deposit money.

The supply chain issues are getting old, and I'm sure everyone will agree. I don't think we'll see much relief this year, but hopefully by 23 things will start to ease.

Update on delivery delay. Received information that my vehicle is built but is waiting for the infotainment unit. Other vehicles are in a similar situation. Was informed that once the part comes in then the next vehicle in line will be taken care of. However, they could not tell me where my vehicle is in the queue.

Mine has been waiting to get on a vessel from what the genius told me. So hopefully that happens soon! I ordered this back in September and received the production number the same day. It's been a very long wait.

It sounds like all of our cars were built in a similar timeframe and many are waiting for the RAM. My guess is that BMW didn't want to sell so many units without satellite / HD radio (and potentially loose $500 a unit) and took a chance they'd have the modules to install at the VPC which may have required holding them at the factory a little longer than usual.

It's approaching 10 weeks now and my car is still at quality check. If only there was a way to use the jedi mind trick to move this car further down the production process.
