Despite less power it's fastest lap was 2:24.7, the F80 2:27.1 & F82 2:26.7.

Here are weight specs from BMW Germany pdf docs at time of release so exclude market dependent options, weight in kg unladen (ready to drive with 90% fuel) & DIN (add 75kg to driver/luggage), all for 6MT:

M2 1495/1570
M2C 1550/1625
M2CS 1550/1625
G87 1700/1775

G87 accompanying doc says carbon roof option saves 6kg & M Carbon buckets 10.8kg

Having built and driven a G87 Production race car here in Australia, I can confirm that the quoted weight of the G87 is much less than actual weight of the car.
Also the car that won theBathurst 6 hour had major suspension modifications (as our car has).

How do you think the G87 will go against the F8X over the 6hrs on control tyres? Using last years Regs as a guide the G will have to run at least 100kg heavier than the F's, am curious whether the G's extra power would make up for the negatives of that weight?

Do you know were the winning M2's suspension mods similar to what the F80/F82's run? I've always thought the suspension, particularly rear, was the weakest link in the F87, good coilovers transformed handling (for me most noticeable on tarmac rally type driving).
