Overall if you can find an M3/ M4 x drive with some miles in it, it is really the better buy around the same price range as a new m2
I’ve driven the M3 & M4 comp and M3 CS back to back with the M2. The M3 CS is the only one that has any handling or noticeable performance difference over the M2. The AWD just adds weight and reduces steering feel even more when driving the car hard, the additional weight is noticeable on the track after a number of laps when the xDrive cars experience a softer pedal sooner, much as the X3M does too, as the steel brakes are the same on all of the cars, unless optioned with CCBs.

M2 is the sportier drive overall.

Seriously F U BMW. How u do a refresh on the 3rd model year? Not small changes either. Steering wheel, IDrive, and power. Like WTF. I sold my G05 X5 when the refresh came out last year and got the 24 M2. I had the car since November. And now in 2 months theres a new refresh? Usually its 4 or 5 years...no? I hate this sh*t

Think of us MY25 buyers - we KNOW a Comp and CS is coming next year that will blow us away. Sucks. I simply cannot wait any longer. I don’t know how I’m going to survive until October delivery.

I’d say the real winners will be the MY29 owners. ‘Course a lot of things can happen from now until then.

Oof Bucket seats as standalone a big FU to the MY 23,24. Happy for those who will be getting them without the package.

Dude relax they barely changed anything on this LCI lmfao. Not to mention that they did the same exact thing with the last M2 (LCI on 3rd MY)???

Go retrofit the steering wheel and call it a day

Interesting how the M3/M4 with iDrive 8.5 doesn't have the new climate shortcut buttons that were introduced with 8.5. But the M2 has them.

I would not call it LCI, that will be when we'll see the new M2 comp.

Given the price difference now in germany, you can probably facelift the car yourself and still have some change left. I have no regrets

Great incremental update.
All of it is good for me, the colours and stand alone CF seats are the main win.

Should we send out a email to BMW asking ? its probably one the last two generations of petrol cars, they owe us the power bump on pre LCI G87s for free or at least a small fee

You got to drive and enjoy a G87 since November 2023 instead of nearly a year later. That's the tradeoff.

Regardless, if you like the MY25 car, simply trade in your current car for it. You're not forced to keep the old one.

+1 there is no major mechanical difference and I still have plenty of fun around where I live here in FRA to enjoy my 2023. I do like the silver color for the wheels. The flat bottom steering wheels is interesting as well.

Does anyone know if these LCI flat bottom steering wheels have a physical button for heating? Or is that just handled in idrive 8.5 now? Assume the factory version wont retrofit to an idrive 8.0 car? Noted there are a lot of aftermarket options already.

remember it's not a Fecelift, it's a Model Year. Facelift will come next year, SOP 07/25 as of today.

Expecting my 2024 in two weeks, and won’t be cancelling, an extra £2300 for carbon roof and £875 for carbon trim, red calipers £275 which all came as standard, already have Drive Assistant specced, granted that was extra previously but that came with Adaptive Cruise which is now extra £550.

Can’t justify extra cost for a minor hp and torque bump, £199 to trade in my old M235i tuning box and I’ll gain extra 100hp and 100nm torque… so I feel solid in my purchase.
