Agreed, if they used the factory mount positions and didn’t require me to drill holes into my bumper, I’d consider it. I also didn’t love that the V2 lip’s design was so hollow on the under part. I feel like it would cause some turbulence with the air.

My V2 front lip has shipped. Will test fitment and decide if I’ll install it and the side skirts on my own or have a shop do it

Superb fitment & quality. Great customer service too. Yes, you need to drill holes in the bumper, but who cares it's on the underside and can easily be patched. Super happy with mine, even stood up against a session at the track.

If anyone has a non black car and is willing to share photos, they would be appreciated. I can't for the life of me understand why this company has chosen to showcase it's products almost exclusively on a vehicle that makes it impossible to see any detail that might actually entice a prospective buyer to make a purchase.

Here is my Zandvoort with the full Maxton kit. Yes you have to drill into the front side and rear. Overall didn't bother me as I've installed kits on other cars before. The hollow aspect of the pieces is a bit concerning, but for the price you can't really complain. Especially on the front lip where it's most likely going to break and/or take damage anyway, carbon or not.

Thank you, that is very helpful. I haven't prodded around myself yet. If you did then install yourself, do you think nutserts could be used at the mounting points or is the aversion to self tappers just not really warranted.

The problem is you're just screwing into the thin plastic fascia and using double-sided tape. Any impact could not only break the splitter but also rip it out of the front fascia leaving holes.

The oem splitter on my Z06, for example, is attached to an inner fascia support brace. The lower fascia has specific cutouts with u-nuts for the attachment points.

I used small nuts and bolts (plus double sided tape) on the front and rear pieces. For the sides I used double sided tape and screws since there is no way to get behind them for nuts/bolts.

In terms of hitting something and ripping the fascia - I hit a very large dead raccoon the second day I had my lip on. It destroyed the lip, but there was no damage to the OEM fascia where the lip was mounted. All the mounting points held perfectly.

I had a similar CF lip on my 135i that was open like that and noticed exactly ZERO difference. Tons of triple-digit action prior and post install.

Installed lip and side skirts in my garage without lifting the car using self tapping screws and just a stubby Philips head screwdriver. 8 screws in each side skirt and 10 in the front. My hands and forearms are pretty beat up lol. I’ve done the same on 2 previous Subarus and they stayed put for years. Kit is pretty aggressive. Lip is huge.

Geez, I thought Subarus had a front overhang. There’s no way I could live with a drop+lip like that. Why does the G87 have such a long front overhang??

VERY NICE!! I ordered the same side skirts, the rear valance, the spoiler (all gloss black) but did the Street pro front splitter. It's a matte finish but I bought some gloss PPF for it. I like the splitter in your pics - very nice. But I was concerned with how much it stuck out. I did the MP HAS kit & well... CT roads. heh heh

Still waiting for my car & the Maxton parts - but I'm close to delivery! Your pics really help give me an idea what this will look like on my car. (Sapphire Black, though.)

I'm considering buying a splitter from Maxton, but I'm hesitant about drilling holes in my bumper. Are there any potential side effects or damage to the bumper from drilling? I'm concerned about the long-term impact, especially since I plan to sell my car sometime next year. Can anyone share their experiences or advice on this matter?

On the M235i & M2, to attach the BMW M Performance side splitters, if my memory serves me correctly, I had to drill the underside of the skirts to fit the BMW friction post thingies.

Not like you're going to be removing your aero parts that you'd have to be concerned. And you could just buy plastic friction inserts to fill the holes anyway.

Thanks! I really like the look of the car overall now. Very aggressive. Also, since the Maxton stuff is so reasonably priced, I’m not cringing from an occasional scrape on the driveway or a speed bump.

I got tired of waiting for other companies to release non-cf and sub $1k lips so I went ahead and installed my V2. I do love the look of it! But it does hang pretty low. My car is still in stock 4x4 height so it’s fine, but if I was lowered my driveway would be a challenge.
