Bryce Young had his way against the Georgia D. Honestly, I had a feeling going into this game that Alabama would hurt UGA’s feelings. Saban and Alabama just seem to have Georgia in their back pockets. Hate to say it, but if they meet again the outcome will probably be the same.

I doubt it. Bama, UGA, Cincy and MI (in no particular order) will almost certainly be the final 4. Hard to imagine Notre Dame or a 2-loss team passing UGA.

Agreed on conference championships - make them matter or get rid of them.

Personally, I'd like to see 8 teams in playoffs - 5 P5 champs and 3 at-large for next best P5, G5 and independents. More than 8 seems like too many to me.
But sounds like expansion is in jeopardy.

Would Bama, Michigan, Pitt, Baylor and Utah + UGA, Cincy and ND be a terrible thing this year? There can always be a debate about the last 3, but there is also a way for P5 teams to win their way in.

Yeah it was a great ending for Baylor and interesting for football fans in general but had to be a tough one for OK State fans. But at least it didn’t cost OK State a shot at the playoffs. I think the four in now would still be there no matter what happened in other games.

Now, in other business, I sure hope we (Miami) name our new AD and HC today or tomorrow at the latest. Rumors, if true, will make me happy, but nothing is done until it is official.

Great game though, if Jackson had not tried to avoid contact with his angle, I think the outcome would have been different. Does anyone think ND should get in over Georgia? I always had a problem with 2 conference teams in a 4 way national playoff.

It did, already announced we are playing Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl yesterday afternoon.

We looked into going with the Alumi Association.............yeah, no. $5k for the two of us plus having to board the dogs for ~5 days.

I'm also a bit bummed about OU leaving for the SEC. Means Bedlam will likely come to an end, even though we are often on the wrong end, it's a great rivalry for college sports.

I agree about OU going to the SEC. Sucks for rivalry and Big 12. I'm sure they will make more money there but not sure how they will stack up vs. SEC competition week-in, week-out. Same for Texas (if they ever get back on track - predictable if not).

I doubt that OU will enjoy much success in the SEC, but I think they'll have a better experience than Texas A&M and Mizzou though.

Can Kirby get it done this time around? Seemed like it was UGA’s season until that first game vs. Bama. I thought they would win that one but learned my lesson. I think Satan wins another even though it’s always tough to beat a team twice in one season.
