Couldn't agree more. Tails feel like E90 chicklets to me.

Anyways, I like it, and I'm excited for the next M2 CS. Looks like my next round of cars might be X5 + M2.

Overall, the car looks sporty and aggressive. Two things that I would change on this car that are a dealbreaker for me.

- Stick to the traditional double halo rings (Side by side and no funky arrangement like the Z4)
- Tail light is a no go. Looks so random as though there was no thought put into the design. Doesn't even blend with the body lines.

Car looks beautiful. Except for the tail lights. Looks like a Scion.

My thoughts are it looks pretty good, but....

It sure is heavy and it is 3 1/2 inches longer and 3 inches wider than an M2C. I like small cars and this is starting to get a bit big for my tastes.

Can't wait to pick one up in SC. I think Brooklyn Gray might be the deal.

Not sure if someone mentioned, but I guess this maybe the first modern BMW with departure of "dual" headlight style.

Happy about the grill. But the rear looks too much like a FRS.

M240i is going to be an absolute ripper considering the B58tu is making about 450 horsepower at the crank. Not a fan of the rear styling nor the front bumper. Looks very awkward overall. Hopefully the m2 looks better than the 2 series just as it does in the current gen.

It's a two seat coupe. Look at M Coupe sales to see why Supra sales are considered strong.

Lightweight materials are not cheap. I'm OK with the weight if we get that interior with all of the upper-Series technology. Old car didn't have HUD, surround view cam, etc.

Hard to complain about a car with fender flares and a hood bump in the base model. And proportions like this.

What BMW also needs to do is put back the mesh inserts in the bumper instead of using the horizontal pieces. The way it is right now is too flat and has no depth. The same issue plague the 4 Series.

What a mess. Overstyled in the front, bangle butt in the rear. I'd imagine the M240 RWD will come in around 3700 lbs.

M240 or M2 will still very likely be my next car, but color me a bit disappointed with the design.

3871lb for M240 xdrive?

200 lb heavier than already porky F22 at 3660 lb.

I was kinda excited with 245/255 tire options but with 200lb more weight.........

Do keep in mind this is the same management that signed off on the design of the 4er, M3/4, and iX.

That's AWD man, who needs this car in AWD, RWD should be around 3700 since my RWD M340i is 3849 pounds.

Hard to get official numbers on BMW since they're not public. But that's including the 4 and 6 cylinder supera, so just comparing it to the M2 seems off.

Yes, the M2 will have an optional manual transmission. And that's exactly why they don't need a manual in the lower tier models - the MT is an easy upsell now as they become more and more exclusive.

The M2 has a back seat. There were 2,601 Z3 M Coupes worldwide and 4,275 Z4 M Coupes. To be fair, there were sales of non M coupes as well.
