The only thing I like are the seats. I’d put them in my F87.

BMW’s recent design direction isn’t better. It just isn’t. I know, everything is opinion and people like what they like. But for everyone involved in these debates can you honestly say, after looking at these pictures, the G series has better design? Or that the G series even looks like a BMW by way of a cohesive design language? I use to be able to pick out a BMW a mile away. Now I don’t even know what I’m looking at most of the time. Different for difference sake is all BMW is doing.

The designer is a young guy that likely grew up loving 90s Japanese designs. There’s nothing wrong with that. I rather like some of them myself. But I like them because they are so very Japanese, just as I like BMWs that used to be so German.

Overall, I just think he got a job at the wrong place. I could of course be wrong and that’s just how the world works now.

As a lover and driver of 90's Japanese Icons, There is no way this thing holds ANY design cues from that era....

I found it hilarious that they disabled the comments on Instagram since it was getting flamed on. That tells you everything about how this thing looks. Burn it.

Who thought those stick on side pieces were a good idea? And that exhaust…I wonder how many takers there were in the G8x world when that design was first introduced…I’m thinking not many.

Upside down world were everything is ugly on purpose.

It looks BMW has changed its target demographics with this one. The thing is how many teens and early 20 somethings have over $70k to spend on a car? I think in that lane the Supra looks better.

It is on purpose. BMW’s CEO even complains there are no ugly cars anymore. Read this thread and article. It’s sad. BMW has lost it’s way.
BMW is punking you.

Actually, like Benetton did in the 90s with their controversial/ugly commercial campaigns, BMW is trying to be relevant at all times even if is through atrocious designs. Look at the Label Red monstrosity. It is hideous and not an M car, thrown at BMW enthusiasts at $200K, makes all talk about it - mostly with dislike, yet makes most of us think that other expensive BMWs are a bargain in comparison! Distract and sell is the new policy at BMW.

I guess they are targeting the same demographic that’s supposedly buying all these luxury apartments that are popping up on every corner in every city. Yet the media says this age group is saddled by student loan debt.

It’s hard to make it make sense.

It looks good, but to be honest doesn't feel at home on a bmw. Maybe a Lambo or Ferrari. Something Italian, not German.

But that's just my shitty opinion. :-P
