I am picking up my TR G87 today!! Crazy to think how fast it all happened. 5/18 I was chatting with my dealer about a M440i and I wasn't a fan of the spec, she said she has a TR M2 inbound and at the docks soon. I said yes and put a deposit on it. Fast forward a week and it's delivery/pick up day! I'm PUMPED!!! Will post pics later today.

You went through Union City - spent the first 5 years of my life there, then Erie until I was 9!

All set and done! This thing is a hoot. I tried my best to keep it in check on my 100 mile drive home, but I had to open it up a few times and it sure does move, looking forward to ripping this thing once 1200 miles clocks by.
Any thoughts on a JB4 for these S58 motors? I had it on my B48 and B58 and it was fantastic. Had it on my TTS and it was night and day. Same goes for S58 application? And if anyone is looking for these stock wheels, let me know. I am frantically looking to swap these for a set of Apex or Titan wheels. |

I’d hold off on JB4 for now, apparently they aren’t Calibrated for the m2 specifically at the moment and are just the same as g80/82.

I have tried explaining that piggybacks are a joke. Not worth wasting your time, you just get hazed by the "experts" saying how great of a "tune" it is. Femto unlock and stage 2 DME tune for this cat... |

Exactly what I was worried about, the warranty. I was under the impression since the JB4 is only modifying the signal to the ECU rather than rewriting it, it would be untraceable after you remove it? Could the data logs in the ECU see the increased boost over a set period of time when running the JB4, maybe? If so, how could the dealer say that it was me that caused the increased boost if I remove the JB4 beforehand? This starts to fall into that situation where its dealers word versus mine.....assuming something happened to the car and I needed to have it fixed. I've never had issues with JB4, but seeing the other comment about about it not being totally calibrated for the M2 yet, that's a real concern. I'll keep my $1k in my pocket for now and start to look at other options after a few months and as other folks get their hands on it first.

I know getting in right at 1200 doesn't really matter, but I'm a little proud of this.

Just another 300 miles under my belt and hundreds of bugs sacrificed to the cause.

Also, what do you think of the blue contrast stitching interior? It looked a bit low contrast on the BMW builder, but my wife was not excited about the color inserts. Is the stitching really subtle (almost black) or does it add some color to the interior? Best, Nick |

I'd say it's mostly subtle because I don't really notice it. I like it. The color panels would have been too much for me.
