Hi
The sale will end on Monday per Active Autowerke.

The installation is straightforward forward, takes 1-2 hours.
Correct the valves are in the axle back
The single midpipe is one of my favorites, it offers the cleanest sound in my opinion

What's the most popular config? with our without resonator? I'm thinking of taking advantage of the sale and didn't realize there was the option.

Single with the active autowerke exhaust is the most popular with our customers.

So does this come with the mid-pipe? Or do you order the mid-pipe separately?

I meant, is the most popular choice to go with the resonator, or without the resonator on the mid-pipe? From other threads, it seems that the preferred option is to go without resonator if keeping the rest of the exhaust stock.

Thats a personal option that depends on whether its more important to you to get more sound or the cleanest tone.

I personally would go non-resonated if everything else is stock.

it deletes the secondary cats and resonators.

you still have the primary cats intact (located in the downpipes), thats where the O2 sensors are connected.

Single midpipe without a resonator is the way to go if you’re planning on keeping the stock down pipes and stock muffler.

+1

the single midpipe offers the best balanced and clean sound in my opinion.

What if the downpipes get changed later on, will the single mid pipe still be a preferred layout for the stock muffler? Thoughts…

It is, but if you change the downpipes and the axle back, i'd probably get the resonated midpipe for a cleaner sound.

This is interesting. Can you post the results you found? The thicker steel sounds less tinny and more bassy?

I was wondering which brands you found to use the thicker gauge steel. I’m guessing AA and IRL just by reading some of your previous posts.

Any vids with the valve controller and the AA EL midpipe? I have the AA EL non res midpipe with the rest stock. It’s a pretty great sound, but curious if a valve controller would make it that much better.

I have this setup. The valve controller will make it much louder at lower RPM’s with it set to fully open. So basically you are getting a louder car at crusing speeds / light acceleration vs needing WOT to almost completely open the factory controlled valves. Also louder decelerations. I can’t tell much of a difference between the two under WOT.
