The real question is… does it come with bricks of cocaine stuffed into the panels?

I wouldn’t recommend driving a BMW through Mexico to the US border. Or any luxury car for that matter.

I hope but somehow doubt this biofuel will ever be a real, viable thing. The cost will be insane. Gasoline is cheap because of economies of scale. ICE BOM and fuel costs will only increase as their market share decreases, and that's for the normal stuff, not some fancy regulation-skirting synthetic or biofuel.

If this is correct, it's at least splitting M3/M4 separately. I am 99% sure that M3 and M4 combined are the highest volume M cars. It might even be cherry picking a single year of production. It's hard for me to imagine they sold more M2s than M4s in any year except maybe the final year of M4 production.

Anecdotal only, but I see F80+F82 probably 5:1 on the street compared to F87.

Super weird. Probably got paranoid or something lol

Hoping that was all legit info but his uncertainty towards the end made it all a bit shaky

Just talked to the sales manager with whom I bought or helped family/friends to buy over 15 cars. He said I am the first person getting in line (waitlist at this point since no allocations for many more months) for the G87, while he has a 20+ people waitlist on the G80. Maybe interest will peak once the car is officially revealed?

It'll surely peak during the reveal...barring what the final product looks like anyways. The G8x didn't have much of an initial burst until the reviews starting coming. Hell I even had an open M3 and M4 sitting on our lot.

Yeah that's odd...these definitely look different. They look to extend into the fender more. I'd be thrilled if this car got the G8x headlights.

It's probably just the camo though.

I'm still seeing the 2 series headlights with the inner vent or intake

Once they move to BEV, it wont matter as US/NA-spec cars have a different connector than EU…. CCS-type1 (NA) vs CCS-type2. You wouldn’t be able to charge it.

Maybe no G87 iDrive controller??
Quote:
...BMW’s Stefan Frick explained to Auto Express that the part’s inclusion will be model specific; it’s all down to the driver’s proximity to the screen. “You have to think about the architecture of the car and the ergonomics. If the screen is not close enough it makes no sense [to remove the rotary controller], he said, adding, “In the 2 Series [Active Tourer] it’s a different architecture, and the screen is pretty close - it’s quite convenient to control with touch.”

yeah, good luck having BMW or any other brand offer Euro Delivery for a US-spec BEV, CCS adapter or not. Porsche doesn’t offer ED for the Taycan today…. If things change, great, but they’d have to provide the adapter and that adds another layer of risk if something doesn’t work. It’s a pretty important item considering you’re SOL if it doesn’t…. And you’d need potentially two adapters… one for DCFC and one for AC (Level2)….

So, yeah….not likely

Is there already information about when the official press presentation of the final vehicle is?

I've driven an IX and seen the new 2er and honestly, the screen is a non-issue for me. The graphics are more crisp and while the ID8 is different, you get used to it like all previous idrive iterations. The worst part is the elimination of some physical HVAC controls.

The new 2er is nice enough in person (saw one in AW)... I think the added width of the M2 and better front end will help it a great deal.
A friend had the 230 as a laoner.

The dash was just fine (I quite like it, but I liked my wife's RS3 dash), and aside from the tail-lights it's not a bad looking car.

Give it some hips and steroids (and I think it looks like the rear lights are going to be slightly different) and you've got another potentially great car

If you compare it to the M3/4 headlights side by side, they're not the same shape
