Ordered a 64MB Space grey iPhone 6 with 9/19 delivery. Trade in price for my iphone 5 is $225. I'll send that in as soon as I get the new one.

Mine has been sitting in a fedex warehouse in Memphis since Saturday marked as shipping standard overnight for delivery Friday. Somebody has to have some serious logistical planning on their hands for this kind of thing.

GRrrr$^$%$^!!! I just got my shipping notice and it is signature required! I guess it makes sense for such an expensive thing but I would rather not have to take a day off work to wait at home for the darn thing! And, if I miss them I would have to wait until Monday!

I'm going to see if I can intercept and have them hold at the UPS station so I can swing by on Friday after work to pick it up. Here's hoping...

post it might not work. Depends on the driver. You can have them hold it (will call) at the center if you call them before it gets set up to a truck.

Both UPS and FedEx have a form that you can fill out given that Apple requires an "indirect signature" meaning you don't actually have to be present. I know that I have done that when I know I have things going on that day and want whatever is coming though typically I will just have things delivered to my office so my receptionist or dock manager can sign for them. Joys of owning your own business, nobody asks any questions when things show up that don't seem to fit the norm.

I typically end up with one of Apple's leather cases that they make for the phone and typically only use it while I play golf. Always been happy with them in the past and they have held up very well. They come on and off the phone fairly easily as well, which is nice.

I prefer absolute minimal cases and this sleeve works well until I find a more permanent solution. I had an Element Sector 5 case on my iPhone 5 and loved it. They are working on a iPhone 6 case now and we will see what they come up with.

Two things I noticed. 6+ sold out fast and expected ship date for next batch is mid oct.

As of yesterday i could still preorder a 6 for Friday delivery.

Either apple got their shit together and they made enough stock this time. Or no one bought the 6.

My guess is a combo of the 2. I think they have finally figured out that they need to have more stock. But, having no idea how well each was going to sell, I would guess that they made many more of the 6 than the plus but that's just guessing.

I know for one that I don't need a 5.5" screen given that I typically either have a computer or my iPad Mini on me and don't really want to have that in my pocket on a regular basis.

i read on yahoo that they did a breakdown for carrier/model and ship date.

i preordered right away and the in store rep to me they are to deliver 9/19, but my order status says "october 13 but subject to change** device onlyl" and on the yahoo article is said that the 64gb grey 6's from at&t are all going to be delivered 9/19, so i am waiting for my status to update.

got my iphone 6 today and must say it is the perfect size.

holding the 6 in my hand i can't imagine having the 6 plus as a phone; way too big.

the biggest difference was definitely how thin the 6 is compared to the 5s but i am amazed that a phone this thin has all the circuits in it.

overall im happy with the upgrade, just have to get used to the feel...

i feel the exact same way. its weird to look at still because its bigger than the 5 lol
