I told one of my friends and she told me "why did you give her money" is her fault for being irresponsible and not salving money for gas.

would you guys do the same, give gas money to a stranger ?

I would for sure. I gave money to a lady once as well at a gas station. I've given a fellow a ride to a gas station and even got him a jerry can for gas. He had forgotten his wallet at home. It's all Karma.

I've forgotten my wallet at home before BUT lucky for me, i ALWAYS keep lots of change in my car.

it's like pulling over to help someone with a flat or engine problems...

I never give money to bums anymore...
one of my friend is a bouncer and he told me a story that forever turned me off from it...
basically, he got to work on a saturday night and the usual bum (from now on ubum) wasn't there... a new bum was there (nbum)..
when ubum got there, he started screaming and yelling at nbum. they finally scrapped it out and ubum beat nbum...
my friend was like "dude.. it's just a street corner.. what's the big deal?"
ubum said "just a street corner? I work this corner son, after ur club closes all those drunkards come out and give me money and I make around 400$ a night on weekends"

yah.. I give money to charities, and what not... let them deal with weeding out the good from the bad...
