Feels recent. Can't believe it's been 2.5 years since.
I personally imported it from the motherland. Which gives it that little extra bit of satisfaction. You're gonna enjoy it. Great cars, grosly underrated.

Thanks swagon, for bringing us this wonderful video. Brilliant cars! As always, the E46 M3 is my favorite.... love that car. But really, love them all!

I always thing that relying on speed and power to determine what is best will be a short lived experience as next week/month a new car will arrive and your figures will be eclipsed. I like the E92 because it sounds special and feels special when I'm driving it on track (where it should be rated - not at the parking lot with your DLSR). These are drivers cars.

Confused how he bashed the e36 M3 and then chose that over the e46 unless cost was a factor because performance wise looking at the acceleration numbers the e36 was a bigger leap over the e30 than e46 was over e36 and that's the USA engine. I own an e36 M3 sedan and it has better handling than my 335i.
E30 0-60 ~ 7 sec E36 ~ 5.6 E46 ~ 4.8

I wasthisclose to getting a E30 M3 recently but a last minute hitch killed the deal. I love the E46 M3. Its just 'right'. Right size, right power, and the driving dynamics is just superb. I'm going to keep it for a while. But I miss the E92 M3. The engine and aura of its sounds keeps calling to me years after I sold it. I'm planning to pick one up in the next year or so. I've seen the F8x many times and seriously it doesn't stir the soul for me. I'm not a dummy - its the best performing M3 ever built to date but that size, and turbo really turns me off. Maybe I'll turn around... |
