I would expect it to be about 10K ish Cheaper the M3 there pricing modle will be simular to previouse gernerations I also anticipate about half the options that are available on its big brothers. I think this is why the car is built in Mexico to stay compeditive on the price otherwise it would be allot closer to M3/M4

A 2023 base M4 is $74,700. Keeping this simple, just subtract $10k from that which would be $64,700; that's roughly what the base M2 will start at. The M2 however will come with more options standard than an M4, but it's not going to be a bargain like the F87 was.

My dream is to own a Porsche (I love the Cayman...small size mid-engine) but the price is a bit much to swallow. So then I think, should I get say a CPO Cayman S or a new M2? Which is why I am bugging you guys with all my questions. I like the idea of new (new car warranty) but having a Cayman before I get too old is also appealing. I think I would be happy with both cars though. |

I am thinking about the Emira as well but will wait to see what initial owners say about it before making decision. My next car will be my main car (for the most part) so worry alittle about their dealer network and turn around time for repairs. Their is a Lotus dealership down the road from me which is nice. |

A friend recently had a ‘21 Boxster S manual as a Porsche service loaner and stated that he was initially disappointing, but once he put the car into sport mode with PSE turned on it became a totally different car and he walked away fairly impressed after turning it back in with an additional 70 miles on the odometer. The MSRP on it new was apparently $101k. One can get a bare bones Boxster/Cayman GTS 4.0 for $90k’ish

Sorry, the M4 price I used was based on what M3W3 provided for the Comp. The price of the paint was for Tanzanite Blue II Metallic. I figured estimate higher just to be safe.

This one is actually pretty easy to solve. Go test drive a Cayman and then a last gen M2. Know that the new M2 is probably going to be a bit more refined and faster. You even live in a state that has these cars for sale in enough quantity to do this. |

He's better off finding a G8x to drive than an F87. Now the hardest part...finding one.

$65K is actually not as bad as I anticipated. Still $10k+ less than other sport sedans/coupes including the Cayman S, M3, etc.
I've had my mind set on a Boxster S next, but the M2 could get my dollars at this price if it's as fun as the F87.

Has anyone's opinions changed since this thread first started? I am starting to think with a few choice options (buckets seats...needing to get full leather) this car may be pushing high for $70s. Am I over estimating here?

I think you are correct. Unless there are a lot of desirable options that are standard in this car. I expect to be over $75k because I want Individual paint. But I do not want the Carbon Buckets, and the @$8500 Carbon Ceramic Brakes are not even an option on this car, so who knows.
