It’s quite sad. In the 2010-2015 era it was easy to get a Boxster S 6 cylinder. Then the 718 happened- no one wanted them. Then Covid- all of a sudden the 4 cylinder was at least something.

The this GTS 4.0- awesome engine… and no one can get allocations. All the mean while as Porsche took the wrong turn with the EVs. I shake my head that it’s tough to get a Boxster but I guess that’s the new norm.

Having owned new a 987.2, 997.1 and 997.2- who would have thought it would be this hard today. I think Porsche miscalculated the causal car fan like me that would buy another 911 if it wasn’t so hard and was told I’d just have to wait on a list for months and months.

We can rant about BMW all we want but finding an M3 isn’t hard and you are rewarded with a good experience.
