My local credit union currently is at 6%...damn.

So realize probably wrong forum but 2025 m240i configurator now offers carbon fiber trim. I was kind of shocked when it was $800 compared to $150 for one or $350 for wood. I just noticed cf package on M2 configurator is also $800 but also changes steering wheel. Maybe this is also case for M240i (the image in configurator doesn’t change steering wheel but maybe a glitch?)

I will ask my sales rep but can you still get the m performance lowering port option or is that gone?

Yep same here. For this particular model, BMW FS has the best rates for the car. They’re slightly subvented so that’s why they’re in the 5’s. By the time my car comes I’m hoping the FED will have issued that elusive rate cut we’ve been waiting all year for. But we’ll see, time will tell. If you finance, you can always refinance the loan in the future when rates are better. Can’t do that with a lease, just an fyi.

Unfortunately, the carbon fiber trim for the M-Lite models doesn't extend to the steering wheel

Why else would it be $800? The 3 series and i4 offer cf for $300 without including steering wheel. Why would 2 series be $500 more?

I’m sure some bean counter at BMW did an analysis on it to determine the price.

Different target audience.
The i4 M50 also gets a stitched sensatec dash and with full individual merino you get a leather dash.

That is very neat thank you!

Does anyone know what the cost is on this before I go digging? My sales rep is off today. I am seeing around ~$2800 from past posts?

Fully loaded built came out to be over $80k, a bit of a tough pill to swallow, with aftermarket mods, this can exceed 100k very easily. A decision to be made compare to a used Cayman GTS (around 100k) or even a used G80 and G82 Competition

I get it but if you’re going to mod a g87, who’s to say you won’t mod a 100k car? You know I’m right

Yeah I think the M2 makes the most sense in the $65k-$75k range, if you start creeping up towards $100k there other cars I would rather have.

i couldnt wrap my head around optioning it above $70k personally, but i am well aware that this is a minority opinion.

I am over $100k with MY23 MSRP and mods (parts and labor).

You say at $100k there are better options. We'll, if one is modding, that "better option" price would also increase (possibly exponentially) so the better option may not be so much of a better option.

Yeah keeping is under $70k is ideal, but I think we will see a lot more builds around the $75k mark now with the addition of the new individual colors and the bucket seats as a standalone option.

As someone who's not really into doing a bunch of mods on cars there are better options from my perspective, but if you would spend just as much on mods on say a 718 GTS 4.0 as the M2 then your point is completely fair and the M2 is still a great choice at that price point in that case.

i dunno that there really is a "better" option even at 100k. 718 has no backseat (also soon to be defunct). desirable 911 trims are well in excess of 100k.

theres "different" options - RS6/7, M3cx, Z06, GT500, lexus LC/RC F- but they are very much different categories of cars...
