M240i is not expensive to get horsepower out of and cheaper to do so. Bonus: some Supra mods will work on the car too.

If you track your car or know how to push it to the limit on backroads (doubtful) then sure get the M2 otherwise there is no real reason other than dick swinging at a cars and coffee or something.
Not sure where you get that M240i is faster 0-60. Apples to apples (stock engine+ZF8) tests show M2 perform consistently faster. Other than better outright acceleration (engine+ tranny), M2 has better oil supply system, cooling, brakes, tires, seats, carbon roof, chassis rigidity, MT option, and widebody & track to accommodate bigger wheels. These are just some of the things that justify the price difference for me.

And yes it is much more track-oriented, which is why I got. Even if you don't track the car, there is a difference between "being able to do but not doing it" and "not capable enough to do in the first place." B58s do suffer oil starvation in high lateral G circuits.

They say it was a demo that one of the dealership owners drove for a short period of time before putting it back into their inventory to sell. MSRP $68,950 now listed at $64,577. Thoughts?
If you can afford either a new 240 or a slightly used M car (current shape though) their is an obvious answer.

Exactly. So many people think their way is the only way.

I really need to stop skipping over threads which have titles that don't interest me. Some of the dipshitery in this thread is epic. Thanks for the laughs! 👍

Exactly why I still frequent these M2 forums. There is not much of this kind of shenanigans on the X5M forums.

Yeah, this was a good one

I'm always happy when I'm only an observer, and not a participant of such spirited 'debates'
