I have all of her CDs, Swedish and English. Sweet child like voice with her own spin on jazz.

That's "Delta Phase" on the "Pentamerous Metamorphosis" album of 1993.

Vintage wine of almost three decades...

Trivia: it was supposed to be a remix of this track, but it was that radically reworked that Global Communication was allowed to keep the track as their own original:

Artemis you might be the only one I can think of that could possibly appreciate some classic Tangerine Dream. I had this on vinyl when I was younger and played it over and over. It's been a long time since I heard it last.

"White Eagle" originally released in 1982.

and then this brilliant cover of it by an artist known as State Azure (electronic music artist out of the UK). I like this guy as he shows his gear on all of his videos.

I've posted this once before but it's worth another. This guy is so damn good with covers. Since "Lost in Translation" is one of my favorite films of all time and the fact I love electronic music, this hit home for me. This track in particular (original as you know by Air).

I have some Tangerine Dream music, but personally always liked the passionate dynamics of Vangelis (squeezing everything out of his Yamaha CS-80 synthesizer) more than Edgar Froese / Klaus Schulze and Jean-Michel Jarre music.

Here's an interesting Tangerine Dream cover that's matching (or even better than) the original:

Ha, so you also know State Azure and his videos operating all his rigs.

And "Alone In Kyoto" is also one of my favorite AIR tracks. I recall seeing the movie scene with Scarlett Johansson mesmerizing on a train to Kyoto and subsequently witnessing a marriage ceremony while this track played. They added it to their "Talkie Walkie" album (2004).

Second best track on that album: "Venus":

Some section of the "Venus" synthesizer pads reminds me to some extent to:
Angelo Badalamenti - "Laura Palmer's Theme" (1990) (Twin Peaks):

Yep, I've seen hours worth of State Azure's work. It's fascinating to me.

The reference to Scarlett Johansson is correct. This was when she was at her best IMO. She was still relatively unknown and hit the mark in that role. I can relate to many elements of that film since I lived there for many years. I don't think it was appreciated enough. Critics certainly liked it but I think there are a lot of people that have never set foot in Japan, and of course the majority have not lived there. Sofia Coppola did a fantastic job of encapsulating much of the details that many wouldn't understand.

I've spoken about this subject before so I don't want to dwell too much on it.

BTW, Twin Peaks FTW!! Angelo Badalamenti... good stuff. Now I'm having flashbacks of that dark David Lynch goodness.
Remember Julee Cruise?

He managed to do this by holding a keynote longer than he usually would and also applied a little more pressure to his Stratocaster’s tremolo bar which then created an unsettling effect. With a guitar in his hands, he was more effective than his words could ever be. He then stopped playing the song in its original form and just turned the lyrics about bombs bursting in air and rockets lighting up the night into music." )

I don't think there's anyone on earth who hasn't heard ''Star Spangled Banner'' by Hendrix.
