Those are the inlets, there's something funny about the translation from German, but the part # on your actual build sheet should still be correct. I went through this with my CA a few weeks ago.

he's saying BMW assigned the allocations to existing orders the dealer had placed in their system (status 047), instead of dropping the allocations into the dealer's inventory and letting the dealer make the assignments at will. At least that's what i got out of it.
Obviously this won't stop much in the way of shenanigans since the dealer can go and modify the order and tell the initial customer their turn isn't up yet - no way to track a 047 order demand without going through the dealer. |

Correct on your assessment however I was told since the production number was assigned to the customer's order directly, the dealership could not reassign or swap the production number to a different customer order. |

If you are asking can the order, as in specs, be changed? I believe so but what I was told that cannot be changed is the individual it is assigned to. So if your order was assigned the production number, they cannot take it from you and give it to me. It is locked for your order under your name. |

I am 99% sure all of this is made up. I can't see BMW micromanaging dealerships like this.
There are too many scenarios that would make a process like this a disaster and it would end up backfiring on BMW corporate. |

24MY rollover, SOP September. July allocation. Actual production should begin the last week of August.

Just as a heads up for those that might be interested: BMW of Cincinnati North has an auto TR with 50 year badges for sale on the lot. They are asking 5k over. According to the CA, it was a customer allocation that fell through. You would think the waitlisters (there's 18 and they've stopped taking new ones) would be first but that is apparently not the case. Regardless, if interested one better inquire quickly as it is now on their website.

I even kicked the tires on a few of the BG cars still listed as "available" in a large area around me, all have ADMs which isn't surprising. I'm guessing all HEA cars that were available at MSRP are long gone at this point. |

Another bites the dust. We have had another deposit holder request to have their deposit refunded. This individual was number four in the order bank.

Any reasons given/known (economy, wait times, disappointing reviews, allocations available for a an alternative)?

Question for those in the inner BMW circle: say a dealer has a custom order M2 available because the buyer walked away, and those on the list aren't interested either.
Option 1: obviously I could make the trek across the country and try and buy it. Option 2? Is it possible for my local CA to swap my future allocation for the other dealer's M2, and have BMW truck it to me/us? Yeah I know I could ask my CA, but trying not to freak the guy out. I just got an email from my dealer that an allocation slot is available. I just sent him the build code for a manual TR. Let the waiting game begin.
