AmuroRay You're right. This thread has become a chaos after all. Tons of twists and turns.

I'm not claiming this is the case, but with everything we've seen, something funny is going on with the numbers because they do not align with what I see on my boost gauge. Even in Sport Plus it's not making any boost until 3k.
You're absolutely correct about the other makes and are almost certainly correct in your belief that BMW does this too.

The best launch would require the maximum amount of power with no or almost no wheelspin, wheelspin may be good for drifting, but not for 0 - 60 or 1/4 runs.

I found a YT video of a guy with a 2022 M240ix who was getting 0 - 60 in the 3.2 - 3.3 range on Dragy.

He had JB4 and xHP, but if I recall correctly, he didn't claim to have anything else.

What he was doing that was launching differently, to eliminate spin while getting higher into the powerband.

He started by manually shifting to 2nd for launch, instead of making the next shift, he slapped the shifter to the right and back to the left to let the computer take over after his 2nd gear initial launch.

In the OM, BMW does state that skilled drivers will be able to outperform LC, and I guess that's what this driver is doing.

The LC section of the M240ix manual says this:

An experienced driver may be able to achieve better acceleration values in DSC OFF mode.

The whole 4th gear test is dumb. Even in my buddies v10 R8 with a tune, its laggy in a high gear going 15 mph. Driving a 2023 M3 just the other day, and it was far from laggy. i cant imagine the new M2 being significantly different.

Yes, another reviewer who doesn’t know how to drive a sportingly tuned manual car properly.

This was probably the worst "car review" video I've ever seen. How this guy has a single follower is beyond me. Uninformative and braggy.

This is getting to ridiculous levels. We used to criticize the GTR when it was first released with such weight, but now have to swallow our own words.

AKA roughly the same as a e90 m3. For a similarly sized car with more tech/luxury and power it ain't that bad.
