I don't know the price, this was a gift. A little smoother initial bite on the tongue, most likely because 80 proof. I can safely pour 3-4 fingers and not worry about how I will get to the bed

The 15 & 20 are far more obtainable thats for sure! I had to call Preston Van Winkle to even get that bottle freed up. My local store got it from him and only charged me 20 bucks over cost. I paid $265 for that bottle instead of the going 3 grand plus!

I've seen references to online auction services, so I suspect it isn't an issue unless you go wholesale; more issues with how to legally mail it. It has been a while since I looked on eBay, but they used to sell bottles with a cutesy 'we are selling a collectible bottle, unopened, but NOT selling the contents, just the collectible bottle'. Some would also put in a note that contents were toxic (technically true for any alcohol) and not intended for human consumption. If you find a simple solution, post back for lazy people like myself who just might have got carried away back when Vermont was still using a price list from the 90's.

Love Ardbeg. Uigeadail is the best value in the entire Scotchdom IMO. But not for beginners, and lately the releases need a good month or three of air past the shoulder to really open up.

Corryvrecken is my personal fav of the Ardbeg (also really liking 'Grooves' that I found).
Laphroaig Quarter Cask is also a fantastic Islay value, but they keep jacking the price; their 10yo cask strength is also great, and now not much more. None of these are sherried (IIRC the Ugie is?); I think some of the Laphroaig Cairdeas releases are sherry cask, and probably close to the price of the Uigeadail. |

Received a late Xmas present yesterday. It's a High West collection including Rendevouz (one of my favorites). Also bought a bottle of the Midwinter Night's Dram. Very delicious!!

I'm new to this thread and I've been reading some of posts. It is simply amazing just how many choices we have.
My main hard liquor is scotch. My wife likes Jim Beam bourbon with 7up. I know, I know, that's sort of a crime but she likes it. Recently, a neighbor bought us a bottle of Bulleit bourbon as a gift. I made my wife a mixed drink with this new bottle of Bulleit bourbon and decided to try it myself with just a little ice. Jim Beam was never my thing, but this Bulleit bourbon tasted really good to me. So now, after years of drinking only scotch, I'm thinking about trying some bourbons. I will mostly lurk and try some of the brands recommended by you all. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experiences. |

I really wanna try that one. I may get the 12 yr sometime this year seeing as that is the only one I can seem to find. How is the 21?
For my Suntory collection I currently have the Harmony, Harmony 30th Anniversary Special Design, Hakushu 12yr, Yamazaki 12yr, Yamazaki 18yr and Yamazaki 2016 Sherry Cask Edition. |

If you can get Ancient Ancient Age 10… it's on par with much more expensive bottles. $14 a bottle and not noticeably different than Blantons. Wish I could find it around here.
