They saw this young girl at many of their Concerts dressed in a chicken suit and invited her up on stage to sing.
She was 14 years old and now is part of the band.

Esteban posting of Vanilla Fudge made me think of early Deep Purple because of the Hammond B3 used. They changed their style a good bit (and got more popular).
