Finding out that some random dealership in Orlando had already got 4 allocations a month or so ago, in addition to being heart wrenching also convinces me even more so that life is truly not fair 😭. Allocations received in July should be the firat batch of MY24 builds. When will new colors/color finishes be available...only the shadow knows....

I did received an allocation and a production number on 5/1/23. I can see my build in Bmwusa website. Under check status, it said order received and waiting to set a production date since 5/1/23.

I don't understand all those codes 47 or 111. Does this mean I have an allocation?

Ok, gotcha. Could be 2-4 weeks (seems to be closer to 3-4 weeks) from allocation to receiving a VIN and start of build.

There is a code associated with each stage of the process.

I'm fairly certain that would be the case otherwise there is no way they wouldn't of sold it in the 2+ months they have had it. I checked on one in NY a few weeks back and they are like "Yes! We sell at mrsp" then proceeded to say all M cars come with a $5,500 ceramic coating and another $500 in BS.
